at the end of December I looked at the growth of NEM and thought that this is a new star and that soon we will see an exit to the top 3 in terms of volumes, but after the correction everything went wrong, it was not just a normal pump ..

In december nearly everything pumped. NEM too. But the trend is still intact and going upwarts

NEM blockchain technology could have a profound social impact." These are the words of former NEM Foundation VP and now Advisor, Jeff McDonald, at a speech in Gangnam, Seoul last month.

Microsoft Azure just adopted NEM's private chain Mijin!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3402839.0

Good news.  But this will just help Mijin make money, as they're offering a 30 day free trial, then charging $0.65 per hour.  How will it benefit the NEM public chain?

indirect from interoperability  between two private chains  and a public chain (NEM) in the middle for neutral proof of transfer for example.

I do not want to destroy hope but it is just a marketplace listing where customer can deploy Mijin much easier on the Azure platform. Today it is actually nothing special. To drive the price there must be some bigger news to get attention from the crypto community.

In my personal opinion the NEM price could be about to explode in the coming days, why ?
Because the coming launch of the Catapult (Mijin v.2) that is likely to have a huge impact on the NEM coin. The update brings a full-featured ecosystem to the blockchain, allowing easy access via private or public networks.
NEM is a great project but needs sometime I think in the coming month  will be seeing NEM at at least $2.00
The other aspect to keep out an eye for is the performance of ProximaX, a blockchain platform developed by the NEM.io Foundation. It could be the catalyst that puts NEM in the front seat of dApps development.
You will see that when NEM start growing it will be like there is no tomorrow.
So HODL guys soon you will be see NEM ON THE MOON Cool

XEMUSD on new ATH (much higher than 2$) will be in the last week of May (10% of probability) or in July/August (30% of probability for that) or in November (60% of probability). If not - i will quit to analyze cryptomarkets:)

Just bought a Trezor hardware wallet only for NEM and the Mosaics to be safe, and I recommend everyone to do the same. I'm using the Ledger Nano S for all of my other coins but sadly NEM is still not supported on it.

I decided to buy the "old" Trezor One, I hope it was the right decision.

Many are still using the old one. No problem with that. The new one is going to be supported with the latest firmware update soon.

I agree here, that won't let the price skyrocket, but I like the news since it will help Mini in the long run.

Although hardware wallets are considered to be secure, they have their glitches too, so always be careful and follow a common sense.
Threats will always be present, especially if large funds, or a public individual is involved

Below an example, the hack that was developed on Mar 2017 and fixed by Trezor on Aug 2017

Cryptocoinnews (CCN) reports that the hackers behind the theft of 500 million NEM tokens have likely laundered all the coins already.
https://www.ccn.com/majority-of-550-million-stolen-nem-already-laundered-report/

I think and hope that once the majority of the stolen coins have been sold, the price will stabilize and rise again in the medium term.

I have read the article, but I didn't like the sentence "For reasons unknown, that automated tagging system was disabled last week by the NEM Foundation." - Does that mean that the hackers could launder their coins because NEM team has disabled the tagging system which had to track the stolen coins? An explanation on this point would not harm.

After the latest buzz around the project Coin very much lost in the price. And many people must sell their coins. But I think people are experienced investors in this moment so many bought their coins. And in recent years can be seen in the market as the price begins to rise. Probably a good time to quickly buy coins. Smiley
Correction was in order to get rid of weak players. Strengthened positions. Now you can see growth. Now it's not too late to buy a coin.

Looks like EOS, ADA and TRON caught the NEM + microsoft news and pumped.  Amazing.  Are the PR people at NEM dead or just brainless?

definetly. You really have to be cautious when using a hardware wallet too. Double checking the addresses, amount etc. But in generell those wallets are a great addition in regards of safety

Here's a great story where an exchange wanted to build on NEM but received no support from NEM devs or NEM foundation and ended up on ERC20.

https://forum.nem.io/t/abacasxchange-project-update/16351?u=futuretech

Sad!  What the hell is going on with this project?

Looking back, all I can say is I am really glad I invested in NEM rather than Steem which was built by the guy behind EOS

Let me guess: you were here from the presale days.  If you had invested anything in the last couple of months or year there is no doubt EOS or Steem would have been a better investment.  This is the problem you long-time hodlers just don't understand.  Those projects are building the inertia and will have the resources to dominate - technology be damned. I love when people make excuses for NEM saying they are small and understaffed and overworked - well they are because they have no sense of marketing and riding some hype to increase their MC and therefore available funds.  They just don't get it or are too lazy to do it or it is too late.

Looking back, all I can say is I am really glad I invested in NEM rather than Steem which was built by the guy behind EOS

EOS in Forbes:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/cbovaird/2018/04/27/eos-is-leaving-top-cryptos-in-the-dust/#31f945884bfd

It is complete nonsense but they get recognized on that level.  No explanation for the pump, people believe in Dan.  Just that simple.  NEM has actual real development and will never get mentioned in Forbes simply because they do not pump.  Downward spiral.
