I hate to ask this, but I can't find the answer anywhere. These coupons, I have 20, can I only use 1 per new miner purchased or can I apply multiples to a single miner purchase? Also, are they restricted to which miner I can apply them to?
You can use 1 per miner purchase and the type they can be applied to is written in the title/name of the coupon. If you wish to sell them please use the correct marketplace forum. Thanks! Feel kinda stupid, I didn't even notice they said S3+ in the title. DOH!! |

So I did a little testing and want to post the results I got (if anyone wants to put it into an easy to read graph that would be great).
So I measured the voltage out of the wall socket at 118v which goes to my 3,000 watt step up voltage converter/transformer. Out of the step up converter/transformer it measures 230v. I've got my APC Smart-UPS 1500 (1,000 watt) sine wave (230v version) connected to that (which I measured only uses 1 to 2 watts when the battery is full). Also have a 5 port switch that measures about 1 watt of consumption at idle connected. The ThorTech Thunderbolt Plus 1200 watt power supply is connected to that and the pair of AntMiner S3+ are connected to that (the display is showing that the power supply is running at a 92.77% efficiency). So the measurements on efficiency and power are for the pair of (batch eight) S3+'s working in pair and mining for at least 5 minutes at each speed before the measurements were taken (225M and 237.5M were taken after 1 hour). Note that the case the AntMiners are in has 6 additional 120mm case fans as well as a fan controller (at about 2w per fan, that's 12w plus whatever the fan controller uses that should be deducted from the rating below from the pair of S3+'s). The wattage measurements fluctuate so I took the closest average.

Looks like I'm going to underclock a little 3 S3+'s down to S3 default speed of 218.75M on a EVGA 1300 watt G2 power supply for my next rig for about 1,050 watts at the power supply.
Here's a little odd fact I found out this weekend, when I set up a pair of S3+'s (at 237.5M for the pair) with a Corsair AX1500i Titanium power supply on the same power set up as above and only 4 smaller case fans, the wattage was about 20 watts MORE. This shouldn't be as the power supply is Titanium rated and set up is closer to the 50% load rating.

Thanks for the results. In my experience it takes a lot longer than 5 minutes for hash rate to stabilize, 1 hour is more like it. The power readings may settle down earlier, however there will be some variations as things warm up, fans spin higher etc. Cheers |

I can't help think that you're losing efficiency by stepping up the voltage. Transformers aren't very efficient, as quite a bit of power is lost due to heat. |

I can't help think that you're losing efficiency by stepping up the voltage. Transformers aren't very efficient, as quite a bit of power is lost due to heat. Yes, I agree. I pointed that out in a earlier post. |

Why not run a dedicated 220v line and power your equipment off of that? You may actually be using MORE power by stepping up the voltage. |

How can I know what batch I have? Stupid question but I can't find it nowhere.. I bought it second hand.
B8 and so on has a sticker on it that says S3+. I'm really unsure prior to b8, it would be nice to know as well. S3+, which means S3 B8 and the following batches, has a faster hashing speed, 453Gh/s than the one from the previous batches, which hash at rated 440Gh/s. |

if anyone wants to use the new firmware just change the view till its fixed go to
The System page then look under Language and Style, change design from Open writ to bootstrap, if you don't like that look you can change it back after you make any adjustments till they fix it .
SO far so good the new firmware seems to run the ants way better no HW errors at all if i stay at defaults with the old firmware even at defaults i was getting HW errors. Now so far i only start seeing them when i try to do any Over clocking. it even look like now by the UI we might just be able to over clock like we can with video cards either tweak the firmware /bios or use the UI like we do with MSI afterburner if you game or use video cards to mine.)"!. no more need to pencil it, if you like to under volt to keep the heat down and then over clock.

I've tried to delete the .ssh/known_hosts file several times now. But the error keeps coming back. Also I noticed that my hashrate dropped on the pool I'm mining on. Anyone else had this issue before? I've managed to reset the firmware on the antminer, but now it constantly says the password is incorrect. Used both my custom pw and default password There's another computer on that network with the same IP address. Did you set it to a static IP address or dhcp? You'll have to either contact your host and give them your MAC address and IP, and ask them to find the conflict, or do your best to change your IP to something else that's not in use. If you're using dhcp, then release/renewing your lease may fix it, but ideally you shouldn't have IP conflicts on your network. ALSO... When you are setting up a few different machines, if you SSH to the 192.168.0.99 ip before changing it, your SSH client stored a KEY for the first one, now when u set up a 2nd one, and connect to that IP u will get this message because now you have connected to 2 machines of the same IP but a different KEY... You need to delete the key for that ip out of the SSH cache... There is no reason to SSH to the device at the default IP, you should go to the GUI first and change the IP then ssh to the new IP. |

My older batches mine at 505gh/s and 495gh/s. me S3+'s mine at 505gh/s and 495gh/s |
