What is that number that says activity under your profile ? Help please I am new. its your post count.. and the S5s plus shipping seem to be the same price as the s3s were with free shipping.. and they are faster and take less power.

Hi problem switched to antpool not as fast so I threw an s1 on ther with the two s3's problem I am confused to what link I should use ?
Solo Server: solo.antpool.com:3333 solo.antpool.com:25 Using this one which is fine But I don't see any earnings yet. Diff here s 2.01k
P2P Server: p2p.antpool.com:3333 p2p.antpool.com:25 this link The DIFF on my status page is 5000 to 9000 is there any command I can put on the Miner Config page that sets the DIFF level.
now I copied a clip from another site and I am really confused if it will work on antpool here it is...
Notice that after my bitcoin address in username, I've added /5000+512 to the end. Here's why.
The /5000 means "don't give me low difficulty shares". And in general, it's just you not being an moron. I have lots of 40-80GH miners show up, so I want to make sure they can get shares quicker. Putting the /5000 in means they will. It won't hurt you at all. You'll just get more of the higher difficulty shares you want anyway, increasing your chances of getting shares before a block is found.
The +512 is crucial. It means set my difficulty to 512. This means you'll communicate to the server less often, and get work in bigger chunks. That means you'll have less rejects, which means more bitcoin! The general rule of thumb is /1000 and +128 per 100GH of mining power. You can use anything for password. I picked "x".

solo is solo, you wont get paid unless your miner finds a block.. which wont happen.. so dont use it. i personally use bitcoin affiliate network pool.. they payout every few hours automatically and is pretty steady. 512 diff is ok for s3. i wouldnt go much higher because then you will get more stales.. stales are worse then rejects.

Solo is not solo mining, its pooled mining like normal. The stats are just a bit slow to show up for the first time.

Obviously, I was looking for free shipping.
The shipping has to be paid by someone, somewhere. Free shipping was cancelled because it wasn't fair for those in cheaper shipping areas to have to subsidise those in more expensive areas.

The C1 water cooling block does Look like it would fit on a S3 hashing board but the price of them would be to expensive unless you can get them Custom made for cheap.
Then you still have to buy pump , Connectors , tubing.
Just buy a C1 outright its cheaper. plus you get double the speed anyway.

The S3 at the time was an industry leader. They were at the forefront of new technology. The S5 is old tech compared to the competition. They aren't however going to return a positive investment unless you have free power.

I have and am awaiting it now. I happen to have a couple of radiators from an old window AC. I do think I'll have one outside in series with the provided C1 radiator. I started using my S3+'s late in the fall. I'm thinking with the profit margin so low I may have to shut them down next summer unless I can get a cooling solution that doesn't jack up my electric too much.

I was thinking of using an old a.c unit solder the tubing on to the c1 heat sink make sure it don't leak Freon after I recharge it then mount heat sinks back on to the miner. This might produce to much moisture between the heat sink and the hashing board!!! POOF!!! there goes the miner.

C1 uses a similar looking PCB to S3 or S3+ hashing PCB, but it is little different, so Please DO NOT mix them as the connector even facing differently. just FYI

Besides, if you don't purge the freon properly before heating, like if it's from an older AC, you'll produce a gas that causes massive chromosomal dislocation. Very unhealthy stuff.

Let's see. Two aluminum slabs the dimensions of S3 heatsinks drilled and tapped to fit S3 boards, additional thru holes to sandwich two slabs together. Copper tubing loops dragon-like sandwiched between the aluminum slabs contacting the slabs well with heatsink compound.
Somebody with a machine shop could whip those up and offer then for sale to S3+ users who want to roll their own water cooling.

Hey guys! If you have a cool looking inventions with Ants, Share the Photo or Videos please!! Would love to see them, but please consider original warranty as if you modify the miner...
