Just upgraded 3 S3's to the antMiner_S320141219.bin  (Checksum: 7df1b12d28b25e10aac37e2eafc7397b).  It works with similar overall performance to the previous f/w version.

Cheers

Well, saw the new title here and item on the BMT store.

So much for them givin a damn about the little guys who want one unit at a nice $115 S3+ that might actually ROI.

Looks like the cheapest thing they have is the S5 now.

*** Looks to BMT asking if they'd like him to bend over further since he's sure there's more room for another broom handle ***

To be decided...

This assumes one has 1k bucks to just throw away in a manner of speaking.

As for electricity being a concern, it's not for me. I tech get "free" electricity with a buddy of mine who has his own business so the higher watt units like the S3 compared to say an S5 or something doesn't matter too much.

But ya, it might be better to spend that much if someone has that much but still. I kinda feel like BMT's bein a dick here by doing that with the S3+'s.

I understand the need to move stock but this is just asinine.

If they allowed single buy S3+'s at $115 they'd make so much money. I mean someone with the funds might buy that bulk order but still, way to screw the little guy BMT.

To be decided...

Bitmain listen, no doubt.
We asked for an EU presence to reduce shipping costs, and this is the opening shot on that. Leaves margin for the buyer ....  I like it.

Please can someone help me with tis every time I cold reboot warm reboot or select save and apply from miner configuration  page!!! I don't now why it happens Huh??

The average  just don't increase. This happened to me no matter what firmware I use !

Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

i kinda tested this out and i think its just the ui that is messed up..

the pool is still reporting a regular speed.

Have you tried SSH'ing in, then commanding #/etc/init.d/cgminer stop, then, #/etc/init.d/cgminer start ?

$60,000 MOQ for the bulk S3+ units is insane.

make a pack of 25 units at $125 each and ill bite.

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461

You can accomplish the same thing through the web interface. Go to system > Startup find cgminer and click stop, wait for page to reload, then click start.  The restart option might work too but I always do the stop and then start to be sure.

so what i found out is using pc power supply's is OK but you cant push them to there max or it will just kill them in like a month or so and even tho you are using a good power supply you cant get all the power out of them without using every yellow wire on them or you can smoke and melt the wires.
when i was using all pc psu's i would cut all the plugs off then connect 1 black to 1 green then i would put all the black together and all the yellow together then i would have all the 12v it can do.
so with your psu i would divide all black and yellow into groups of 6 then re connect them to 6 pin this why you can run 3 s3's on it.

now don't believe it when bitmain say thy only take 355 w at the wall that is only if thy are way under clocked!!!! so most people end up pulling way too much power from there psu and killing it.

i use a 3000w platinum rated server power suppl
so i have the cleanest power i can get.

the best power at the wall i have gotten is
s3 384w
s3+ 390w
this is all at stock clocking s3+ use more power

also if you have s3+ batch 11 the program is screwed up and hash rate drops to nothing and the power is ether not set or is set way too high and you will need to ere flash back to the first 3 s3+ programs offered from bitmain but if you do that make sure you un check the saved settings box or it can crash and be un bootable

I saw a new firmware.  Any news about it?
Should have the bugs fixed, its the same as the beta firmware that's been in testing for the last few days.

When I updated(Beta) my two S3(not +) I put them consistently at 500 G.  I then messed around and did some frequency checking, and haven't been able to get back to that consistent 500 G.  I'll update them now with the latest update.

If you want to greatly reduce the dust intake on the S3+, this might just be the item (to substitute with the front fan grill).  http://www.amazon.com/Silverstone-Tek-Filter-Cooling-FF123B/dp/B00ARB5E8U/ref=pd_sim_e_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=17TF269TN9NWFT2XP716

Seems you only get $115 per unit if you got $5k to blow.

I just think it's funny BMT's way of saying ty to the little guys that keep them running is offering the MOQ of two units @ $149 per.

An MOQ of two @ $115 per would be nice but still sort of screws the little guy who's got just enough BTC saved for one unit.
