b, I really cant be bothered trawling for the posts where this was in fact requested and set by community. In any case, I have listened to you and we just have to agree to disagree. I cant help thinking if you spent some of that energy writing to your favorite places about viacoin, maybe it would be energy better spent. I feel at this moment in time, either you can be helpful or a hindrance. The community I am sure would prefer helpful.
I believe I have been helpful enough already. You should know better than anyone for I have channeled my help through you, but since you are even in doubt -no thanks are required, by the way, although they'd be quite appreciated. AND DESERVED-, it could be time for you to cry, again, "FUD". Oh I do appreciate you barabbas, but maybe you don't realise how caustic you can come across. You dont sugarcoat anything which is fine, but likewise I need to draw my own boundaries in the sand. but seriously, I'm not making a dig at you - you evidently have a lot of energy and if you can redirect some of it like spartak_t, keldster, btclena and others have been doing over the last few days, it can become a lot more constructive. Peace. Like I said above Drak, YOUR idea of what is constructive and brings in results, as evidenced by the recent months before the past 3 days, is to be suspected. The results I GUARANTEED to you with just a minimal change in attitude and communication with the (real community), have also been proven and the momentum continues, so we are not talking just "opinions" here, but proven, achieved facts. Your idea of "community", no invoked again, was Primitive and masternode. Even with the fall out, still, when it serves your purpose, those two are the community for you... including those that you mention here. The community is much bigger -fortunately for your project- and mostly silent. Some discouraged because they don't feel free to express their opinions or bring in their suggestions, some because they feel represented by, well, me. Or Chompy Z. Or others. But they are there. Holding. Buying. Perhaps even convincing friends and family members to join in now that some "provocative" posts have brought new life to a seemingly moribund crypto project. So, while every efforts should be thanked and duly appreciated, there are efforts that achieve much less than others, although not everyone would be able to quantify on first look the reach of some of the lets call it "most abstract" of them. Peace indeed.

I do believe this post breaks absolutely every rule in moderation, both Draks AND the forum. But I do welcome it, stupid as it is.

I do believe that it will be better if you write e-mail (or PM if you want) to btcdrak with ideas instead wasting time and sucking energy from others, which actually read your posts. Critic is a must, but you can do it with one simple post/message. EDIT: When people see that there is a new message in the thread they are opening and guess what they are seeing? barabbas with his "constructive" critics instead some news about development and such.

I had a long phone conversation between keldster and a PR firm. It was preliminary but went well. I will let keldster fill in the details as the contact is his. They will get back to us in a week.

And you are indeed entitled to that -and other- opinions... just like everyone else. But if "people" are of that persuasion, what they should actually do is use the very conveniently devised "ignore" button, and problem resolved. Which, by the way, is something I suggest you consider, most particularly in my case.

Barabbas,
I don't believe you realise how much respect you have here. In fact you have a strong voice which is heard.
Not everyone is disagreeing with you however I do believe that you would be stronger if you used a bit more psychology and finesse. The current system is what it is and it is changing slowly to the what it needs to become - shouting at it and degrading it will not always get the results you want...
I myself, and i guess without a doubt Drak too, believe that you have been instrumental in the past several days events. This is greatly appreciated on my part as it seems that this project needed a catfish to flush a few things out so we can move forward..
Like I said in one of my rare earlier posts. If you ask a question, this is opposed to making a repeated often degrading statement, you should not only save time but get a direct response. It may not be the response you require but i have faith to believe that it will be the truth...
Also i agree there are a lot of people silently watching and for their first impression to be distrust and doubt this is not the way we should be conducting ourselves as a team..
This could actually be one of the more historic weeks for VIA- "when we all woke up!" - lets see...

Could this forum be closed for comments and just used for updates and refer people to reddit going forward if want to comment participate?
IMHO that would be a very bad idea and be very bad for VIA. love it or hate it, BCT is the epicenter of altcoins. if you just want to see official updates, there is the blog: blog.viacoin.org. there hasn't been an update there in 2 months tho

LOL that is so dramatic. BCT is absolutely not the reason for a coins life or death. It's just a good place to get started... I'm cool with BCT until it becomes a drain on resources. If it turns into a warzone again I would not have a problem abandoning the thread and move to r/viacoin or another forum environment. Reddit is actually a much better environment and we should start using it more often *anyway*, regardless of this thread.

I appreciate that and will visit more often. I totally agree with drak that reddit is a much better place to interact. However, I realized that bct is somehow equivilant to the unconciousness of humans. Many weired things are popping up. It appears like a confused thing. Much similar to most dreams we have. We, however, need it for psycological reasons. Not productive but essential for our community. Everybody who wants to be more productive should use reddit imo. Bct must stay and I would even stop any kind of moderation. btw, as barbaras indicated correctly: my approach in the past was a bit cultish. Thats not appropriate for this coin. Allthough I can only read few of his posts as they are just too long

Yes, but that's only because this is the focal point, people are funnelled here to talk not anywhere else. I'm pretty sure if you counted the number of actual participants on this epic thread you'd see there's not so many people actually talking.

Lol, there are about 8 of us and we make the market move imho there is only ONE player that is moving the market, and i doubt if he/she/it ever participated in this forum. In the past 3 days, that someone has potentially gained 2.3m viacoins, at an investment of ~130BTC. This doesn't look like a lone trader to me. Seems like a serious player or group... perhaps a P&D group that noticed Viacoin's price and is now building position to later pump it. Placing ~130BTC into a coin that has no significant volume, while collecting 1/6 its outstanding coins, means either a serious long-term position by a serious player, or a moon-type P&D in the making. Furthermore, we now know that: New player = 2.3m VIA Masternode+Otoh = ~in the millions of VIA XCH firesale fund = 1m VIA this alone represents almost half of the outstanding VIA coins... i.e. supply side is getting shorter and shorter... P.S. I know i passed the thread rules by talking about this stuff. I just couldn't hold myself

I don't want to be a party pooper but I've watched the charts and orders on Bittrex for several days and I think someone buying his own coins to inflate the volume. Right before a market buy of > 0.3 BTC, a sell order of the same size appears. With only 1 BTC, the equivalent in viacoins, a bit of time (and trading fees) to lose you can add 40/50 BTC of volume without having to buy any new coins in the end since you're buying your own coins.
If we start seeing real buys I'll be more confident but right now you shouldn't jump on conclusions too fast.

If it's any reassurance, I've purchased another 5 digits worth of via in the last 24 hours personally. There's definitely at least a few people buying up the via, I've talked to 3 others today who have started accumulating as well.
