600 btc raised by the community, then the dev creates a donation address to raise .75 btc for an android wallet? is this a joke?
It wasn't the dev who created that. Someone else did that on their own.
Then that is a problem within itself.
Why? The coin is 3 days old. Android wallet isn't usually the first priority of a good dev.
Any good dev would have had that on their checklist and with 610 BTC, I would assume that would happen sooner than later, with no community help needed.
So the community taking initiative on a non-priority project is a problem?
lol, move along.
Hello Viacoin friends.
I am the person who donated the .75btc to do the android wallet.
It wasn't the dev. He wasn't even aware of this until AFTER I donated, and he had NOTHING to do with it. Any other claim is a complete lie/FUD.
The android wallet was proposed by a community member on the irc, and i was hasty to fund it without asking the dev for any specs, requirements, functionality, integration, endorsement, or anything else.
The intention was sincere, but the conduct was hasty and unprofessional by me.
I'm sorry for creating such turbulence.
To summarize, the android wallet
IS NOT AN OFFICIAL VIACOIN PROJECT and the last thing i'd want is our dev to be engaged in bug fixing or other stuff to do with this really really really side 'project' rather than continue developing based on his outlined roadmap.
Again- I'm very sorry, and ask everyone to see this wallet if/when it rolls out as an amateur alternative wallet that some individual community member made, and not to confuse it with anything official... and definitely not assign any decisions relating to this android wallet to the dev.
It was me alone behind this hastiness.
