I have updated to the new windows wallet-qt 64bit, removed the two folders and the file as instructed.
I opened wallet, it synchronizes to the last block, shows my balance and a minute later an error message pops up.
I tried to open the wallet three times.

What can I do?

It's possible you have a db corruption.

Close the program and delete the following folders in c:\users\appdata\roaming\viacoin

blocks
chainstate

Then restart and you should be OK. Make damn sure you dont delete wallet.dat, just those two folders is enough.

that's what I did when updating.
I will do that again.
yay, I know what wallet.dat is ;-)

i purposely avoided the etherum train. way too much money there to make a proffit. let everyone else have their money tied up and get some on the post ipo sale. When via is Ltc price you will be able to buy a load of cheap etherum up. Grin

i get the part of needing xch if you want to create an asset. but when you purchase an asset is in in via or xch? will there be a market (i assume it's the clearing house) for xch so i can trade out of if i end up with xch i dont want or need in the future?

Don't let some fudsters get to you. Via is happily following a gentle rise. See chart.

Yes, it's rising good, but buying this time little risky, I am waiting for little correction.
Then I will buy some quantity to hold the coins.

I uninstalled the 64bit, deleted everything except wallet.dat and reinstalled it.
Problem persisted.  Sad

I uninstalled it again and installed 32bit and works fine.  Cheesy
I don't know what's wrong with 64bit.  Huh
I am on win 7 64bit

You can trade any pair in Clearinghouse from what I see. But, trading against XCH is basically free and clears automatically/faster. At least from what I understand.

I just tried out the clearwallet on the testnet and it answered all my questions! it's pretty awesome and you have to try the games which took me a while to work out how it works, ie, pairing the rock-paper-scissor wages.

keep up the good work - very impressed with quality of your work btcdrake

ClearingHouse/clearwallet, the copy cat of CloakTrade. ViaCon offer nothing and you dumb morons deserve to lose money. Oh, yes, it's fast and that's it but so is other altcoins. Tree Chains, another fancy scam pump. Any altcoins can fix their block explorer and made add-on plugin easy.

The problem is no one would want to create an application on top Viacon blockchain, they would just create their own scam coin. Enjoy your dream now and soon you will see .01 cent

That's ok. already in profit by selling 10% at 11x ICO price. But, thanks for watching out for us.

0.00058603 BTC low, converting my BTC and issuing purchase , probably 14 VIA.. Tedd (thief naysayer haha how he called himself in of his jobs) is awesome btw. probably one of best guys.. he could easily work for google or facebook. and chose this..

that interview was so great he gave, kudos to our neighbors in Canada  Cool

let's see what the BTC can buy in the few moments

legal contracts route via crypto will take time... cause you have folks used to old ways, but then again before internet there was no internet

Usually the #seller shouters missed the train. and the people shouting buy are the ones holding.
Take a step back and look at via on the market you should notice people are not selling ask your self why.
