Hello.

I'm really not sure I'm on the correct chain.

I deleted the chainstate, blocks folders and peers.dat, then updated and ran 0.10.3

Prior to this update I didn't make any transfer for 2 weeks.

The balance in my wallet is correct, but the address ain't showing here:

http://explorer.viacoin.org/ and here http://viacoinexplorer.com/chain/Viacoin#

Run a -rescan on your wallet.

Did so, balance is still correct.

But this should also be showing in the explorers, right?
It should, especially since all your transactions are pre-fork. Perhaps your wallet/browser copy/pasted the address incorrectly?

Nope, the address is correct. I'm gonna send some test coins to an exchange.
All exchange wallets are stopped on the moment or deposits disabled. Perhaps it makes more sense if you send to yourself and look up the transaction on blockexplorer. You could also try importing your keys to Vialectrum.

Nope, the address is correct. I'm gonna send some test coins to an exchange.

Maybe you are not correctly synced.

Go to Help->Debug->Console

Type

getinfo

example result below
Code:
{
    "version" : 100300,
    "protocolversion" : 70002,
    "walletversion" : 60000,
    "balance" : 566.415,
    "blocks" : 47093,
    "timeoffset" : -4,
    "connections" : 8,
    "proxy" : "",
    "difficulty" : 31.83888654,
    "testnet" : false,
    "keypoololdest" : 1406130918,
    "keypoolsize" : 101,
    "paytxfee" : 0.00100000,
    "relayfee" : 0.00100000,
    "errors" : ""
}

Now take the block hash which should be greater than 47093

Type getblockhash n

Where n is the blockhash - it will display a hash like this

e0417fa28946555c8455bb1c793efcabb2489524f1fa389e9bae9eea3725f38e

Check that hash exists in the block explorer. If not, you are not correctly synced.
To be synced you must delete the peers.dat, blocks and chainstate folders.

"blocks" : 47027,

I deleted those 3 instances before syncing again and this was the result. I'm gonna try it again and report. Brb

Network Health Update
On the July 29th we asked exchanges to suspend trading while we investigated some [network issues] we were experiencing on the Viacoin p2p network which we began to see after a minor software update.

The symptom was certain nodes began banning other nodes and thus islanding themselves which would then affect blockchain concensus. After it was clear we needed quality time to investigate and fix the issue (ruling out a rush fix), we took the decision to request exchanges to disable trading to give us breathing space and to protect the ecosystem from FUD.

We would like to especially thank 1GH mining pool operator reorder for his tireless work assisting us track down and fix the issues and to Grynn, our new developer who worked through the night testing and analysis.

The solution was identified, tested and deployed over the last 24 hours. We went about reaching out to all the exchanges and mining pool operators, and powerful solo-miners. By focusing on exchanges and pool operators first we help protect their interest which ultimately secures the networks and ecosystem. We were able to swiftly bring the network back into concensus with their assitance and at time of writing, it looks like we have eliminated any invalid chains.

We plan to continue monitoring network health and request exchanges to re-open trading at some point later today. Of course we can only request exchange to co-operate with our recommendations, but so far everyone has been very co-operative and understanding and put the best interests of the network and users first.

We would like to thank all users and supporters of Viacoin for their encouragement and support during this time. We have a growing and supportive community who understand that the road is not always smooth and are prepared to help out in any way they can.

I would further remind you that if you haven’t already upgraded to Viacoin Core 0.10.3, you must do so immediately or you will not be able to use Viacoin correctly. Upgrading also helps protect and stabalise the network.

If you run a mining pool, are a solo-miner or run an exchange and have not yet given us your contact details, please do so here. The key to dealing with any network emergency or emergency upgrade is the ability to communicate directly with mining pools and exchanges. If they upgrade swiftly, all users have to follow naturally.

We have requested the main Viacoin exchanges to resume trading at 19:00 UTC (20:00 LONDON, 15:00 EDT, 11:00 PDT). Please check twitter.com/viacoin for updates.

In the meantime, please send some hash power to a mining pool listed on viacoin.org that will further help strengthen the network.

Thank you for your patience during this time: As you can appreciate, with a market cap of $1.35MM USD, we had to be as careful as possible and also because a healthy and secure network is the essential foundation for the rollout of our flagship ClearingHouse.

I upgraded my wallet, but the block number is still not right. I have the little green check in the bottom right, but the current block is 46113. This current block moves up every few seconds.... Did I screw something up, or is it just catching up?

But more importantly it has shown how strong the viacoin community is. So many came together to co-operate and help in whatever capacity... and even before the network issues.
I'm really happy with the growing and friendly via community!
