So, just an FYI, I made ~1700 VIA withdrawal from Cryptsy to my local wallet but it never came through.

Transaction: http://bayimg.com/papJKaAFi

Wallet addresses: http://bayimg.com/pApJLaAfI

Wallet transactions: http://bayimg.com/PapJmaAfI

I went through and followed the guide to resync my wallet even though it did not need to be resync'd. I also have an up-to-date client. Thoughts? Help?

Yea, I cannot find the transaction ID on http://explorer.viacoin.org/. I am assuming it will just take time. I was under the impression it would be a much quicker transaction.

I moved coins from Bittrex to Tipbot on IRC today and it was sent in a flash.  Probably just Cryptsy.

I moved some coins from Bittrex to Cryptsy about 10 hours ago which aren't even showing as a pending deposit on Cryptsy. I've checked everything and the block explorer says "not yet redeemed" at the Cryptsy end.

Might be worth opening a ticket with them ? Maybe they didn't update their wallet ? I'll let you know the outcome of my raised ticket.

Hopefully it will show up today.

Means Cryptsy never upgraded. I reached out to them several times btw and left support tickets and they never replied. You have to hassle them.

Should anyone be using an exchange, like cryptsy, that continually cannot carry out basic functions, like a simple withdrawal?

For the record I have been notifying Cryptsy repeatedly and no-one has replied. I've tried support tickets and twitter.

the only thing you can do is keep nagging them

They seem to have never got on top of their on initial success/load, and continue to fail to. Tis the first alarm bell to ring.

Help them out by boycotting them.

is there a good p2pool for Via - I was using 1GH but they're hardly finding any blocks and the folks at waffle pool seem to be keeping all of the mined VIA for themselves. I threw 250MH at them yesterday for 3 hours and in that 3 hours - although they said they were mining VIA miltiple times - I never received a single VIA - so there are some shennanigans going on over there. I am personally taking over a long established pool today that mines a few coins and I will be adding VIA, RDD, CPN, BTB and maybe one more to the offering.
On top of that at wafflepool you never even get via coin since they immediately dump it for BTC (I did not do a good job reading their home page before pointing my miners there and would not have joined if I saw this).

Re: the pool I'm taking over: The current owner did not charge any fee and subsequently has lost money. I will be charging a fee and will be putting ads from google on the site so that at least I can break even.
I will also be offering block finder bonuses on every coin, so if you have BIG hash it's too your advantage to support the pool and even if you don't have big hash - the block finder bonuses are even more important.

I'm U.S Based (EastCoast) but the server are in Europe and I'll be adding a U.S. Based stratum server in the next week or so after the transition to my servers today and tomorrow.

I really like VIA coin and feel as though it's purely being exploited by wafflepool for immediate dumping and that no doubt holds the price down from immediate sells - too bad they can'e be stopped, but I can try to take some of the hash away.

thanks - Jeff

1GH is finding enough blocks to not care for variance, pool luck is close to 100%.
