I noticed I have a payout 4 hours ago (4am)  in the latest activity tab

But only maintenance fees deducted from the Balance Page at the same default time of 1:30am. But overall the main btc hasn't changed.

but lol at the sky is falling mentality.

Yea, I haven't gotten my full payouts yet either... Now i'm starting to get nervous. They should pay when they say they'll pay... a few hours late is okay with me... but 6 hours?

Everyone needs to calm down. It appears I actually knew what I was talking about. An update on hashtalk. https://hashtalk.org/topic/3349/explanation-when-do-i-get-a-payout/15

They are going to increase the system resources allocated to the payment script, but as some of us know, you can't do that while its running or you risk causing issues. Hopefully tomorrows payments will go a bit smoother.

6 hours is actually a few hours Cheesy

They werent building that new data center to sell some hashlets and run.

6 hours isn't a few to me.. Universally a "Few" is 2-3 I would think... But I get your point.

Is it acceptable when your paycheck is late? Is it acceptable when a stock purchase is late?

NO. This is sloppy accounting that keeps getting sloppier. You know what that means when they don't prioritize payments.

And no, I still haven't gotten my payouts. It's now 9 hours after the maintenance fees. Then add that they slipped processing by like +/- 8 hours already, it means they're now +/- 17 hours behind.

This is NOT sloppy accounting, its incompetence when it comes to the system resources needed to process an exponentially growing list of payouts.
Maybe they should take cexio's tack on processing autopayouts, when their system gets around to your account, it gets processed, there is no defined time of day they get processed. If they hadn't told people to expect payouts at a certain time, people would have nothing to be upset about.

As for paychecks being late, I have worked retail and paperchecks usually come in with the truck from the warehouse, sometimes things happen and that truck gets delayed, did I blame the accounting department for that semi hitting a deer and being 4+ hours late? NO.

As for stock purchases. The folks running the servers that power the nyse or cmex have multiples of the resources and experienced techs that gawzen does.

How do you figure they are 17 hours behind now? All of my accounts were credited properly for yesterdays payments, they are tops 11 hours behind.

So it's okay that their maintenance fees system is working fine, but not the payouts? How can it be justified that they're processed separately?

We're talking electronic payments here, not paper.

Its not just the fees, all of my accounts show an issue, at least one of them shows 1 payment and 3 fees, another the balance at the top looks right but the #s don't add up in the history.

As for paper vs electronic, its an analogy, and one that still stands.

If my paycheck was 6 hours late then yes, it would be acceptable. It's not like I'm going to die of hunger or get beaten to death by a mobster if I don't get the money.
You are a bit over that so write a ticket Smiley Is this the first time they are late?

No, not the first time they are late... And it's getting longer each time, so people are worried of bigger issues at this point. Supposedly they will be updating or upgrading their processing system, so we'll see.

As far as these terrible paycheck analogies go--imagine you have a normal job and you get paid once every week.  You should get paid on Monday, but the boss says, "Sorry, no cigar."  Whatever, check back tomorrow.

Still no check on Tuesday.
Wednesday?  Nothing.
Thursday?  Possibly--that is where we are right now.

We are on the 11th hour of a 24 hour workweek.  So we are just starting on Thursday now, waiting for our paycheck.  After all, Monday is coming up fast and we should be getting another check then.  Right?

edit: Got my payout finally Wink

11th+8 hour (don't forget they pushed payouts back without making up the difference) of 24-hour work-week.

I see some payouts "registered" 16 minutes ago, but they're not reflected in the balance, and more payouts from my "set" are still missing.

They didn't "push back the payout without making the difference up" because they didn't change the cut off times. They just changed when it is paid out. The mining day is still 24 hours around and cut off at 8PM eastern. The same as before.

Its just a ponzi scam, until they can prove otherwise.

You can only prove its a ponzi after it implodes. Until it stops paying, everyone who has drank the coolaid will keep paying in because they keep getting paid. On that note, people please keep paying in, the longer I can receive my "mining" income the better.
right. so how could someone prove something not being a ponzi scheme ? by not imploding? in a fixed period of time?

I understand that there's a ton of things that GAW is not telling, but I don't know if there's any proof of it being a ponzi scheme.
I have about 130Mhs in zen, so I'm interested in seeing evidence if there is any, but so far there's none, just a lot of unhappy people for no good reason

You know it's pointless. First they wanted a data center picture, they got it and decided they want a proof of mining too and if this proof is not given let's scream ponzi!

Speaking of, where is that data center location data you were going to post yesterday?

Posted them in that thread. Weren't you following it? Should still be there.

Hey Guys,
I've been searching for a long while and questioned on a few ways GAW.
But I never got an answer for my to little questions:
1. Will I be able to sell my hashlet at any time I not longer would own it (e.g.like CEX.io)
2. Is it a possible risk that one day my hashlet is negative profitable and so I would have to pay more maintenance/electricity fee than it generates BTC...

...I will not invest anything without an answer on this questions and I think other people think also like me.
I also asked over Twitter and they marked me as a spammer.
Just a mistake?
 Huh
I'm sceptic...

Hi Smiley
Yes people are trading hashlets. There's a nice thread here by a guy who mined with hashlets and I think recently sold them after taking the profits.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=743152.msg8583756#msg8583756

According to GAW you will never have negative ROI, the maintenance costs will be reduced to keep the miners profitable.

Yeah I dropped from;

 70 mh to 6mh
2 s-3's to 1 s-3.

I am ahead around .25 btc and still mining  the 6mh  and 1 s-3..

My payments for last night are around  .013  but they are not added in yet.
Damn they expanded so much I got spooked. Took most of my profits.  My biggest problems are website migrations along with forum migrations. I could talk alot about the wrong of them, but I won't .  I will say they are a very interesting company and I feel good enough  to still mine with them.  (since I made myself a sure winner).

In the long run if they go Apple or Amazon I will not make a true fortune. But I will earn more then have earned as of today.  In the long run if they fully crash.  I pulled out enough to be a winner.

Another update, from the Zenportal

Quote from: Eric from ZenCloud
Hey ZenClouders!

I want to personally apologize for the delay in payouts today. As posted on the forum, it was due to a lack of system resources on our server, but that is still unacceptable. We are working hard to revamp our hardware and streamline our software to decrease the likelihood of such a delay in the future.

I also apologize for not making this notice as widespread as it should've been. Again, unacceptable. I will personally see to it that I make these announcements more frequently as the need arises.

The last of the payouts should be hitting very shortly.

Your comparing apple to zebras.

The orb averages 300khs, you have 5, so 5*300khs = 1.5mhs, so yes, 5 orbs is going to make more than 1 hashlet on zen. Second thing your not accounting for is the cost to run those orbs, the hashlets are charged 8c/day, I bet those orbs run twice that each, if not more.
Even if they ran 8c/piece/day to run, your looking at 40c/day for your 1.5mhs while the hashlet is 1mhs for 8c/day, account for the difference and your looking at an operational cost of 3.5X that of the hashlet.
