Yes..  Philipma1957 expanded his operations from the garage to the bedroom. ( with his wifes permission of course!)  Grin

Oddly enough that is where he started  Grin

Transaction fees go to the pools and the pools decide to pay them to the miners. Anything else, including off-chain solutions are stealing and not the way Bitcoin was intended to function.
Make the block size set by the pool. Pool = miners and they get the choice.

Antminer/plant heater...... Grin Grin Grin

This is gotta be one of the sexiest mining pictures ever. For sure!  Good I idea though using the heat form the miner to help the plants out.

my guess is in north america with a medical card or grower license. The plants look nice and healthy, probably 3-4oz/ea if they are put into flowering soon

only thing that confuses me, is what the temperature of the plants was already? I grew in a similar vinyl tent years and years ago, with my lighting in a ducted glass tube t draw the heat out of the tent (typically 30C exhaust, with 20-25C in the tent and 15-20C outside) It seemed like heat removal was way more important than adding heat

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461

No need to guess; he's mentioned before he's in The Netherlands.  As long as it's deemed for personal use and a maximum of 5 plants it's not seen as a commercial venture and all they'll do, if discovered, is take away and destroy the plants - which in practice means cops don't bother even if it's 'in plain view' as it just generates paperwork. Dutch 'gedoogbeleid' is weird that way.

Thanks for replying.

What version of BFGMiner are you using? I've never been able to get my U3's working with it.
They are not even recognized by BFGminer, no matter what settings I use. Are you using the SiLabs drivers?

At the moment they're not, but that's the plan.

Cgminer 4.9.2
BFG 5.4

Running on Linux: both works
Running on Windows: cgminer with zadig, BFG with standard drivers.

But that's not the topic here Smiley

What do you mean by "standard drivers"? What version of BFG?

If you used zadig to use the U3 with cgminer you will need to unzadig the device before bfg will see it.  Just delete the usb device from device mananger, unplug it, and plug it back in.  The default windows driver is "standard".

Anyone use duct hose to expel the heat from multiple S1-S2-S4-S5-S7 miners out a window? I'm trying to figure out how to connect/join everything together and use the whole opening of the window (residential standard US) for the heat output. Maybe just to keep me busy.
Looking for pictures/ideas. I know there must be someone that has done it.

Actually thinking about the same thing and will be heading to lowes tomorrow afternoon. I'll post an update when I get started.

This is what I'm thinking. Lining up all the Sx's in a row, side by side and just cut a hole in the side of the duct host and put the miner output right in there. With a push from a small fan it should direct all the air flow right out or where I want it. Sorry for the terrible representation. Basically just need one long hose and some cheap thermal tape to close the gaps. Don't really care what it looks like.
