Finally my 100GH/500W BFL are heating half the house silently. They almost already mined the cost of the Monarch I ordered on black Friday. This is my "ROI" concept, if the hardware can mine the cost of the next generation hardware it doesn't matter if it ROIs or not. Ofcourse you can't know that in advance but that wouldn't be any fun now would it!?

Now I just need a passively cooled 500W miner for the other side of the house, winter is coming!

My current rig in the morning sun today 

That's 2x BFL 60 Gh/s and 2x BFL 7 Gh/s, all with new arctic cooling fans. I also have 30x usb erupters (not pictured), totalling 144 Gh/s now heating my room.

Nope, but maybe I should. They are still running at around 75 degrees C.

I recommend it, mine run 70 with 30!!! ambient so that would be 60 for you... that's 15 degrees difference!

Also look at the placement of my side fans... that's important. I reduce the speed of my 4 top fans, they don't need to spin that fast = really really silent!

Finally place them lower and not in serial, now one is blowing it's hot air straight into the other.

I'm also considering changing the heatsinks to better ones. Would any cpu-heatsink work, or how does that work? I mean the fittings etc.

Yeah, I put them in serial like that be because of space restrictions - at least they are hanging out by the window, the coldest place in the house

So I'm a newbie and I'm looking into getting into bitcoining and litecoining. From what I've heard litecoin is more profitable since it's like bitcoin jr right now. (That's how I've heard it put) So with that being said I'm going to have a maximum of $2000 to invest at the first of the year and I'm curious which is the best way to go? First things first.... Do I need a dedicated machine for each bitcoin and litecoin mining? Or if I was to get a butterfly labs rig that could handle 25gh/s for $1249 could I share that between mining for each application? My guess is no! Please guide me in this direction. I'm basing my funds to use on current technology not what they may have next year. Also is it really that easy to hook a 25Gh/s bitcoin miner to a new computer and run the miner program connecting to a pool and let it do it's thing? Also another question I have is do you put all your nuts in one basket by only dedicating your computer to one pool or do you run multiple pools? I can do my research on who the best one's are I'm just curious on so many things. Please do your best to guide me on this subject as I'm very tech savy with pc's and hardware but with this mining is NEW to me!!!

no not realy.. its my first test to print a case and to fit a normal 16x2 lcd and 2 buttons into the raspberry pi.
if someone have a 3d printer and whant to print my case, i uploaded it to thingiverse: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:195335
this case on pic is the first print, but i made a better one (as seen on thingiverse, but have no pic for now).

my components for mining are:
2 asic miner blades - 20 gh/s
35 usb block erupter - only 10 or so are working, rest is demaged now..
4 jalapenos 5 gh/s (two of them avg: 6500 mh/s one with avr: 6100 mh/s and my best one have stable avg: 7500 mh/s without modefications).

and 20 hd5970 clusters bruteforcing, but not for btc... it is used for nokia sl3 unlocking...

i killed them by desoldering the asics.
one of my block erupter blades had demaged asics... from one day to another... dont ask my why, i dont know.

but i desoldered the asics from the usb erupters and soldered it into the blade.
now my blade is working again...

i made this, cause its more easy to power one blade instead of many usb hubs...


if someone have be100 asics for sell, i would be happy...
then i can repair all my usb erupters.
but friedcat dont sell asics, only complete devices... i already asked him for it.
