I live in norway so no walmart etc stores here Sad
Only 3 large retailers that do overall gadgets in walmart style but not walmart prices or selection sadly.

So its either small fans ment for bathroom exhausts at 15$ or the engine cooline fans i found at 30$.
Next is industrial gear at well not so fun pricing.

on the plus side i do have 12c or less outside 10months of the year, so semi-cold air to use.
downside is that since there is at most 1hot week of summer, there is no demand for diy A/C etc

You have an auto junkyard near you Huh Electric engine fans run on 12 volt, get a scrap one or 2.They move pretty good CFM & should be cheap  Wink

They're waterproof,so you could mount them outside & since they're DC,you can reverse the rotation if needed   Grin

Going with 2x engine cooling fans from a local carparts warehouse.
http://images.biltema.com/PAXToImageService.svc/product/large/2000032589
14" 2200rpm 80watt 12V - 530cfm, so 1060cfm total.
70$ new for both so fairly cheap, hopefully that is enough and if not a third will be added for 1590cfm total.

Rough sketch.
https://i.imgur.com/eNlsyOv.jpg
2x 4" ducts from each fan going to a 2x4" adapters pointing out the window gap (might skip the adapters depending on how flimsy they look)
(live on street level in the middle of a city so not very comfortable leaving the window open beyond its outer locking point.)
got a window on the other side of the shelf also to take in cold air, got room for 8x ducts in the window so can go up to 4x 4" for each fan if needed.

So budget/cost:
Cooling - 110$
shelf - 25$
miners - 3370$
psus/wiering - had already
Total - 3505$, so 0.95$ per gh/s with miners/shipping/cooling etc

I tried these fans in the GPU days in 2012.  They are extremely fucking loud and they get very hot.  I had to disconnect them after a few days because they smelled like burning.  I don't think they are meant to be run all the time.  I used gable fans from home dept instead.  2200CFM.

If they are brushless motors, you can not just reverse the polarity without letting the magic smoke out. Brushless motors are essentially AC motors with an integrated controller that handles the conversion (and starting) for you.

Most current aftermarket automotive cooling fans are manufactured intentionally as reversible. They are typically very load as well.

Neptune card in Novec 7100...

Coolness!  What are you using to recondense it, or is it just a test setup?  How much did you pay for the Novec, if it's not rude to ask?

It was $350 shipped for a gallon of the Novec 7100.  I used a couple of peltier chips and some heatsinks to condense the Novec.  It worked and dripped back down while it was running.  I have a much bigger tank on the way with some large radiators installed for the final unit.

can confirm that not all DC-powered fans can opperate on reverse polarity. Not all will vaporize into forever-sleep, but some simply wont spin, or will spin strangely.

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461

It must of been because I was working on older cars  Cheesy  92 chevy 454 SS pickup was just one that if connected backwards it would spin backwards,oh well,YMMV  Grin

Are Antminer fans pulling air? If not where is all the hot air going?

Looks like there is an exhaust duct on top of the hood, probably with a high enough CFM fan to match the combined hot air output of the S3 fans.

Oh I missed that. But still it looks like the exhaust duct is a bit too small. I see that it's pulling air from both left and right, but it's size is only a half of antminer for each side.

Ants are pulling air from front towards back.  The bottom of the hood is open as well.  Top is 6" duct with a 400cfm turbine exhausting the air.

Ants actually went up 1 degree in temp, but ambient came down 10 degrees, so my wife and my habaneros are running much happier.
