Is Presstab getting involved with UTC beyond the explorer...is he going to be fixing the UTC code/wallet?

I have discussed this with him and he says he is available to do this.  He is busy for the next week - but after that we will discuss detail and costs.

So basically - if the costs are acceptable - the answer to your question is yes.

Cheers - usukan.

https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/4a4pxg/im_out/

Hi nanoprobe

Yes I have been on Reddit observing the squabbles over Core vs Classic - there are plenty of posts there and links to articles supporting my statements.  Of course I hope they get it all sorted soon with the blocksize issues because I agree that if its sorted the BTC fundamentals are good.

The Polo chat box (yes full of trolls) has also been discussing these issues.

Despite this - there has been a mass migration to ETH from BTC and that is born out by the rise in ETH price which I am sure you will appreciate has been quite startling over the last couple of weeks.

Some of the other ALTS are pumping - and some of this maybe concern over BTC.

As always - do your own research and form your own opinions.  I did - and these were my conclusions.

Cheers - usukan

Of course the other thing that may propel UTC and other ALTs over the next few months are the troubles with BTC - many are thinking its best to be out of BTC for a while because its likely to drop significantly.  People are looking for places to go to get out of BTC.

You need to be VERY CAREFUL when you make broad statements like that. Who are the "many" that think it's best to be out of BTC for a while because its likely to drop significantly? Who are the "people" looking for places to go to get out of BTC? Any articles or anything to support those statements? Will BTC drop significantly is anyone's guess but the fundamentals do not support either of your statements ATM.

I will make a few posts on the official Ultracoin Twitter tomorrow.

My apologies in advance to anyone whom I may unintentionally offend.

@PaulR1 - if you and Fabiatech can't get control of the Official Ultracoin Facebook back - I will start a new FB profile. EDIT - too many followers we need to get control of the FB account back.

Any progress with Steven?

The website is more important and could save us a lot of time and funds.

Cheers - usukan

Can someone with an address that is not properly reconciling with http://utc.presstab.pw send me a log of all of their transactions (you can use export to csv)? Trying to figure out what is going on with a few select addresses.

https://btcmanager.com/news/business/hope-for-crytpsy-hacker-pledges-to-regain-stolen-funds/

Hi tsjaar

Cryptsy opened their wallets for a few ALTs but they ran out pretty quick.  They only opened wallets that they had working.  Ones that were "under maintenance" never got opened (this included UTC).

Cryptsy never upgraded to the latest UTC wallet.  They have no staff now and will never upgrade.

So I don't think we will see our UTC ever again unless they pop up in China

Cheers - usukan

I know about their problems, but they opened other wallets for withdrawal..

W've been here before; freshmarket, crypto-trade, mintpal. They dit return some UTC, so I'm still a tiny little percent hopefull  Tongue

Hi tsjaar

You obviously have not heard that Cryptsy is gone - never to return.  They are insolvent and under investigation on theft, fraud and money laundering maybe more.
Its extremely unlikely that anyone will get some or any of their coins back - including UTC, even if Cryptsy updated the UTC wallet.

Good luck with that. Who's to know if this "CryptCracker" isn't the one who stole them in the first place? Anyone who can hack and steal is probably smart enough to not keep the coins in an online wallet or anywhere they can be recovered. This is why you should never put any coins on any exchange unless they are for immediate sale. To store them there is asking for trouble while the exchange collects your POS rewards or just steals them(synonymous for hacked) outright. JMHO

Yea I agree

I think this is just a ploy by Big Vern in the class action.

Good work on getting everything in motion @usukan ! I think the plan to upgrade the codebase so its up to date with bitcoin is a great idea.

I'll also throw in a guess here for the contest: April 29th 2016 16:16 UTC Smiley

Thanks thispanda

Yes - full upgrade of UTC wallet is the preferred option - cost will be important though - and community support for the project.

Hopefully we can get working with PressTab next week on the wallet/retarget upgrade.

Cheers - usukan

Greetings Alexthesalamander

We can't promise anything - but we are working hard behind the scenes to make UTC a MUCH better coin and in time one of the best again.

Welcome to the community.

Cheers - usukan

I will update the BitcoinTalk MAIN page

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=727023.0

Of Ultracoin when we get an agreement with PressTab with an acceptable price to update the wallet/retarget etc.

Updating before this is really not warranted IMO.

Of course this will rely on an agreeable price and appropriate community support to fund the work.

I am maybe naively positive that we will achieve both price and support.

Many thanks for all the support from the community here - but especially in PM's.

We can do this together.

Cheers - usukan
