Hey, is there a bootstrap available anywhere? I tried to sync the new wallet from my old chain and two days later it stopped syncing and the wallet became very laggy, whatever I clicked on or did took a long time to happen.

Now that I deleted the old chain, it's responsive again but it only synced 2500 blocks in half an hour with 4 peers, good internet and CPU.

Not your keys, not your coins!

same here - takes 3 days to sync new installs - 3-5 peers, fast internet and good spec computers.

But all OK once synced although still slow for catchups on sync compared to other alt wallets (with the exception of DOGE)?  Is this a matter of few peers or the algo or something else?

I don't know much about it but even relatively new wallets use "header first" syncronization and parallel block download which makes syncing pretty fast even with millions of blocks
I have no idea about the implications of implementing it though so now I'd be happy even just with a bootstrap (which would also probably took a day to sync from).

Edit: started syncing beyond 2500 blocks, should be synced in 23 hours at this rate. I'll upload a bootstrap if needed after it's done.

@Kracko
@Steven

NF14 wallet release has bug in difficulty adjustment.
After block 1500000 (when reward drops to 10) difficulty stands low all the time.
The pool utc14.yacoin.club finds block every 5 sec.
Have you ever tested algorithm before release!?

The wallet was tested by Kracko, I have made him aware of the anomaly and am awaiting a response. Will have a conference today as we look into the issue.

I just looked into the block chain and hashrate and it looks like the difficulty wen't to 0 then swung so high it is taking longer then usual to mine a block. This has been a rude awakening, I apologize for any harm caused by this incident. I will be speaking with Kracko today on the proposed action. I have contacted ThirtyBird on the issue as well.

Update: May take some time to adjust, once blocks are found it should smooth out, keeping ears to the tracks on this one and waiting on the developers.

Update 2: Working on a solution right now, testing underway.

Increasing port difficulty is a forced move. Because the pool is running under extreme load right now.

We have identified the problem and unfortunately it is going to require another update, please donate any extra hash to the following address to help assist in testing. The more hash we have the faster we can push out the new update which should be within the next 24 hours.

Three days I trying but still nothing, I only get hw!
I have 3x280x 8gb memory, and I use 3.5.0-yac2

For n14 earlier I used these settings, it worked great, but now only hw

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
yacminer.exe --scrypt-chacha --worksize 128 -g 1 --lookup-gap 8 --buffer-size 2590 -R 5120 -o stratum+tcp://utc.yacoin.club:3413 -u x -p x --nfmin 14 --nfmax 14 --starttime 1388361600

Don't use original UTC --starttime option. UTC14 uses fixed NF14. See configuration example in the support thread..

There was a bug in the wallet that was created during the compiling process, the wallet version that was tested had a few fields that were slightly tweaked compared to the wallet version that was released. It is unfortunately going to require another fork. The exchanges have already been notified, expect a new release within the next few hours, the fork will occur tomorrow night. Please update as soon as the new wallet is released. The update will also be blasted out on all social media channels and the mailing list, I ask everyone to stay posted for the fork. In the meantime mining is still functional although the block rate is much higher than usual and the amount of orphans will be astronomically high.

These are hard news, i don't know what others think, but with this extremely high block rate, the dump after the exchanges enable the wallets again will also be astronomical...
I see dead people...

Let's hope it's not so much as to drop utc even further down...

Best regards
