I've got a little problem when I try to plot. I followed the crowetic's guide and when I set 75% of my memory (the total is 8192 MB so 75% is 6144 Mb), it says me not 6144 MB of memory used but 15XX MB of memory used (I forgot the XX number but it isn't very import, you can see that it isn't the same number). To hit the 6144 MB of memory used, I need to put a number close to 18000. What's the problem ? Can you help me ?

The memory size when ploting is expressed in nonces (256KB) not MB. So to get 6144MB, you need to multiply by 4 - so use 24,576 instead. And I'd normally aim for closer to 50% rather than 75%

H.

Thank you ! And what's the utility of this memory ?
With more memory it's able to arrange the data better so it can read what it needs with less disk seeking, which is both faster and puts less stress on the hdd.

It can't be changed once plotted ?
Not in place. You can optimize it from one hdd to another.

Hi all,

I would announce that I have updated the French Website http://burstcoin.fr, with a bunch of tutorial (documentation section), + Completely translated Team page.
The introduction page will be traduced later.

I will also update the batch plot generator https://github.com/Kurairaito/batch_plot_generator in the next few days, with source + binaries (must test in VM if librarie are ok for both windows and linux)
This new version will include both Windows and Linux Script generator.
Will anounce that here when done.

See you soon.

Percentage size on BurstBank.com is changed, now it calculate automatically, inversly involved amount and price, you can see the actual reward on
index page.
(100m / Bursts involved) - (.150 / .current price) * 0.3%
All wallets was cleaned, plese add them again
Also we looking on AT decentralized bank ideas and development, if it will be ready, we will close burstbank and will try to move users amount into that AT storage Smiley

hi burst bank.

Can you update the pie chart on http://burstbank.com/index.php with wallets number?

for example:

BurstBank: 18.1%
Coins: 125290311
Wallets: 12345

many thanks!!!

have a nice day!
Hi!
Yes, we will print it on page Smiley

Did burstbank pay today?
Payments will continue tomorrow in automatic mode

I have to say thank you BurstBank for your great work! But one question: How often the balance is updating at http://burstbank.com/?go=confirmed_wallets ?

There are currently only 32 assets available, whereof some have been declared as "dead". Is nobody interested in using all the features we got in BURST?

Created a tool to find more personal burst-addresses like:
BURST-LUXE-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXX

its a early version, core is working well, but without gui etc.
found addresses will be stored in file, reopen it, to see progress.

Features:
- java (can be used on any platform, attached .bat file for win)
Code:
java -jar burstcoin-address-generator.jar -cp >result.txt
- multithreading (set number of threads and 'tries per thread'),
- multiple and combined search keys
- specify constant pre- and postfix for rnd-passwords
- simple stats in tries/second

1. Download at: https://mega.co.nz/#!NkZ3TLRC!WVyOzUzYkCDVKbuRCBn0FgTxOvX0vRPvjMDene26BjY
2. extract
3. read README.txt
4. be creative, have fun!

HOW IT WORKS:
The tool will create rnd-passwords and check if one or combination of keys is in resulting burst-address.
On success, the address together with rnd-password will be stored in a file.
The search will not stop on one result, but run all specified 'tries per thread'.

PLEASE use https://burstforum.com/index.php?threads/burst-address-generator.759/ for questions etc.

PS: i know there was another tool doing that, created few month ago ...

you will get corrupted, not mineable files

That what I was expecting!

Except, as in everything else, you're wrong.

ah yes, it's not staggering, but what the point of doing that? Reading time/requests will be similar

i think he meant staggering, not just joining two files in bigger one

The DOS command will concatenate the files successfully, after that you can use the plot optimizer to increase the stagger.

<-- starts timer on Elmit asking how to run the plot optimizer.

Do you agree that an asset is a "contract" in the sense, that you offer something for buying that asset?

Now, times often changes things and it might be necessary to change the "contract" of the asset. What would be in your opinion the right way to do so?

I would do the following, would you agree to that?
1. contact all asset holder if they agree to the changes, by secure means, like registered mail, or simpler with a BURST message
2. if we all agree to change, everything is fine
3. I would definitely offer a new asset, since amendments to assets are not possible and
4. exchange them to the new asset: buy old asset back and offer new asset to buy via transfer (not trade)
