Any way that I can see what's the current Basetarget other than using a miner? is there a website where this information is provided?

With the miner the Basetarget  is always latest and the one from the calculator is not accurate.

This is taken from http://burstcoin.info/api.html

Quote
getMiningInfo
Gives info for mining.
Call it like this: http://127.0.0.1:8125/burst?requestType=getMiningInfo
And it'll return something like
{"baseTarget":"2880322","height":"13884","generationSignature":"bf903dd43395da657be20e08d8cd4c3c2aaf01610da5674983b478fe45bca3ed"}

So opening this link http://127.0.0.1:8125/burst?requestType=getMiningInfo should give you the info you need as long as your wallet's blockchain is completely up to date.

The thing is the other pools are overcrowded. Making things for us a bit more difficult.

Wow, 130 sats, that's too low. If anyone wants to start something for a burst marketplace, pm me. Hmm...we need investors...I'll say something on nxtforum... Maybe....
maybe someone should start a campaign to advertise burst to NXT community. I am sure some of them are interested to invest in burst if they are invested in NXT.
Why would nxters invest @ 130 satoshis ?   To sell later @ 60 ?

The Burst dev needs to convert Burst network into decentralized dropbox ASAP, when users would pay for distributed encrypted storing of their files with BURST coins. This is the only way for Burst to survive.

Yes, but I don't think it'll work. For now all you people with VPS's, please sell a portion to the burst network. I will soon have a better VPS, but for now I'll sell 1gb SSD on 1gigabit uplink with 200gb transfer for 2500 Burst/first month,  then change after that(hopefully it'll be cheaper by then. Also, I'll fund VPS's and stuff out of my own pocket, so the burst I get stays in my wallet, and the VPS is paid for with my USD wallet Wink This way there is no affect on price.  PM if this sounds like something you like(BTW, it's just for 1gb download, it can be on your own domain, or on download.burstcoin.info, so the idea is to host files for burst, not sites, although we can come to an agreement with that as well Wink)

EDIT: all host sales go to buying BMPOOL, so it's just win win for burst.

It's been a while since I posted this, but if people want to contribute to data mining data and/or look at peoples results: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uaXMLjLt90Ms1oRjcjz-eYPOkARtNS8JdrKFKOJdg4o/edit?pli=1#gid=0

I just updated the spreadseet with my recent changes, and put in a freeze header and colums to make it easier to navigate.

I did a similar sheet, concentrating on plot generation speed, cpu and cores etc.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1XxyQ1eH2oL4QKfxHkSFHHCGOGaE1FEPDnBt2WbA_oE4/edit?usp=sharing

btw. got a block this morning at 39s, that was a fast one, now i have 3 since i started solo mining. 6,8TB plotted now. 5*4TB USB3 disks on its way from the retailer, that ought to increase my blocks/week.

You are so right in all what you write here. I was very close to just selling ALL my burst and buy some more harddisks.. but then i decided just to buy some more harddisks. This is the most expensive coin ever i mined - i mean - 20TB doesn't come cheap, and the CPU power cost from plotting is staggering. Before You know it, you are trading with other burst users directly from your wallet and that is where the world comes apart for good ;-)

Everyone please sell and scare the weak miners away due to no apparent profitabillity, so i can get some more blocks before it gets too difficult.
