Monday question for everyone.
What happens if I try to sync the same wallet on two machines at the same time?
I'd like to have the same wallet on two machines as I often jump from one place to another. Could I just let them on or this can create problems?
Happy hashing monday to all this magical community

It totally works, but occasionally staking shows up strangely on one of the wallets. Since everything is based on your keys, all your transactions will sync up. If you assign a name to an address, however, it will only be available on the computer from which you assigned the name.

What feldenthorne said. If they are both open for staking you will most likely see a lot of unconfirmed (orphan) proof-of-stake rewards though. One wallet will always get there just before the other. I often have two machines running the same wallet (particularly while testing stuff for the new Wallet Mage software development in progress) but only have one of them open for staking.

Thanks.
So no problems on staking? I usually just use one wallet at a time, when I switch place, I switch that machine off before leaving and later when I arrive I switch the other one on.
Leaving one of them always on would be far easier for my utterly bad memory.
As soon as magi skyrocket leaving us with billions I absolutely have to hire a couple of playmates secretaries for keeping my schedule updated  Wink  Wink

I see, of course staking will have some problems. Well, as long as nothing get corrupted I think it's ok

Nothing will get corrupted. The only problems are:-

1) Keeping them in sync when/if you add an address to the address book. You will have to do that manually on both.

2) Creating a new receiving address. There is no way you can do the same thing on both, since a new receiving address is unique every time.

One way round either of those is to shut both wallets down and simply copy over the updated wallet.dat file from one machine to another using a memory stick or whatever, then run up the wallets again.

My Wallet Mage software under development will do this for you just by clicking a few buttons in the right order Wink

Sound good. Maybe Spexx or Feldenthorne can answer your question! I don't understand what you mean with "the network is not there"

I mean you have to call something like ~/p2pool-ltc/run_p2pool.py --net litecoin --give-author 1 -f 0 -a LcjmUck1PB2dZun9My9N2W8hwFpAfeEkfP -n litecoin-p2pool.com:9338

and -net m7m or magi isn´t available in the sourcecode

I spent quite a bit of time trying to get a P2Pool running, but ultimately let the idea slide. After looking into it, I determined that the only way to get it working would be to alter the handshake within the P2Pool source, as the Magi wallet (and other coins based on PPCoin/Novacoin) handles handshakes differently than other altcoins. Because I don't know much about Python (even though it looks easy to pick up), I let the project go... and no one was asking, so it didn't seem like too many people cared.

Novacoin has a working P2Pool, so my intention was to grab their source and compare it to the source that (I believe?) used to be on the Magi GitHub page. And to compare both to the wallet's ProcessMessage() code. Using the three, I figured I could work something out... But, as I said, I moved on instead.

If there is enough interest, I can start looking into it again. But if you just want to set up a pool of sorts, the Stratum code on the official GitHub works swimmingly.

Thanks Feldenthorne for your quick respons.
I really appreciate your activity and I will send you and Spexx some activity coins. I did notice some questions about the P2Pool for Magi in the irc before. Magi can ask our Magical community if they would like to have a P2Pool. I can make a poll for that.

Why do we need this piece in the space?

1. FREE
As an appreciation to members who are fonder of Coin Magi, we present free charge to utilize the MagiPay service, despite you sell $1 or $1,000 goods.
- Merchants: no extra charge at all
- Customers: responsible for the trivial mining fee

2. Customize
MagiPay is uniquely designed for Coin Magi, independent of any other payment gateways. Custom requests will be sent to tailoring MagiPay functions.

3. Instant & Secure
No payments are held by our server. Funds are available to merchants upon 6 confirmations.

Schematic of MagiPay integration

Guide: https://www.m-epays.com/merchant_guide

1. Registration & create MagiPay box

Notice the callback URL has to be corresponding to the location of the file "magipay.callback.php" in the server (see below).

2. Magipay integration
1) Download merchant files: https://github.com/magipay/merchant, then place them in your server
2) Revise db_connect.php and magipay.keys.php (for details see https://www.m-epays.com/merchant_guide)
3) Run magipay.createtable.php through browser, example

4) Revise the following file to enable MagiPay pay option in online shop:
Notice the action upon receiving payment as highlighted.

3. Online purchase example
1) Checkout

2) Pay through Coin Magi wallet

3) Payment received

4) Payment transfered to local merchant's wallet

1. What else?
I'd say the current form of the MagiPay is basic. It enables one to create Coin Magi payment option and accept payment. It works but we should have more than that to do.

2. Plugins
User friendly plugins is a must. WooCommerce is one of important ones we're targeting at. To community members, please offer us plugins if you are able to do.

3. What do I do to integrate MagiPay in my online shop site?
Please follow the guide and be sure to ask us for help to set up MagiPay. Try out the example here by following the guide:  https://github.com/magipay/shop-example.

Make your site be notable in MagiWorld, as well as obtain XMG by selling items in addition to mining!

Enjoy The Magi!

Is the register-mail working ok now?

Nice but now very clear to me.
Have tried that with Stratum on my linux host but getting the whole time

Code:
[2015-06-15 20:47:46] Stratum requested work restart
[2015-06-15 20:47:53] accepted: 0/1 (0.00%), 11.00 khash/s (booooo)
[2015-06-15 20:47:54] accepted: 0/2 (0.00%), 11.19 khash/s (booooo)
[2015-06-15 20:47:59] accepted: 0/3 (0.00%), 22.13 khash/s (booooo)
[2015-06-15 20:48:07] accepted: 0/4 (0.00%), 22.25 khash/s (booooo)

I installed the magi hash..."Setting algo to "magi" after installation: sudo python setup.py install" and put magi in my config.py (COINDAEMON_ALGO = 'magi')

Any ideas?
