Trying to find anyone in need of help with Magi-related development or testing Oi! You will be helping me real soon matey You will not have time for anything else. Lol. You have my Axe! The wait is killing me... Patience my friend. I do a lot of testing myself before release and found a few things still needing attention, hence the delay. Your Axe? Mine is a Fender Stratocaster, Special Edition. What's yours?

For those who choose new pool instead of NONCE: I've tried 3 or 4 and stopped at xmgpool.cf. Its hashrate is low, but profit is higher than at suprnova for example. Do not give suprnova 51%+ of network power, support small pools

Quick heads up.
I do hope that everybody realizes that mining pool returns are completely dependent on the XMG block rewards which are highly variable. Just because you get a good return from a pool one day/week/month does not mean that you will get a similar return the next day/week/month. My longer term results show no particular advantage from one pool over another and this is not the first time that I have pointed this out either.
Mining on a smaller pool means that fewer blocks will be mined (on average) than on a larger pool, but you will be sharing the proceeds with fewer miners so it tends to balance out. Even large pools have "unlucky streaks" where despite having a mammoth share of the total hashrate, they mine very few blocks in a given time period. Lucky streaks will occur also. This is due to the truly random nature of mining, but over a longer time period everything seems to average out, as one would expect.

Despite advices posted here, it appears that the total hashrate on Noncepool XMG pool (soon to close) has been going down while the total hashrate on Suprnova XMG pool has gone up by an equivalent amount. Suprnova now have around 42 percent of the total hashrate and there is still a danger that they could end up with more than 50 percent.

Don't know why is so hard to understand people - you WON'T get more XMG on suprnova!! It doesn't matter which pool you choose, you'll end up with same award. But its better for whole nethashrate to spread hash. That said, as we all know suprnova is the biggest pool, just choose another.

Without the exact model number it is difficult to give you a precise figure, but you would probably get something in the region of 20 to 30 Kh/s mining with that CPU so yes, it would be worthwhile but you will not be getting rich anytime soon. I do not know if those CPUs have any overclocking potential, but it might be worth checking that to see if you can squeeze more performance out of it.

AMD-A6 5200 APU w/ Radeon 8800 HD graphics
That chip is at the lower end so I think 24 Kh/s would be the maximum hashrate you could expect from CPU mining. I do not know if the graphics section (are you sure it is a HD 8800? My references say it is a HD 8400) will support GPU mining but if it does, then you could use that (possibly in addition to CPU mining) to mine another algorithm on the Magi Multipool and get paid in XMG for that. The biggest problem is going to be heat dissipation. That chip is only rated at 25 Watts TDP and mining with it could be problematic. Make sure that all cooling airways are completely free of dust and fluff - use a powerful vacuum cleaner. Hope this helps. Edit: Incidentally - that chip cannot be overclocked and is locked at 2 GHz.

There have been some fabulous XMG block rewards just recently and my wallet is somewhat fatter today than it was three days ago The payouts from all the pools that I am connected to were way above average. Edit: For comparison, I have taken the payout from four pools over the last 24 hours and divided that by the hashrate thrown at each pool to get a list of figures, the units of which are (XMG per day)/(Kilohashes per second):- Suprnova 0.31 Noncepool 0.36 Coinmagi 0.38 XMGpool 0.34 The average is 0.3475 with a spread of +/- 10 percent. A peculiar observation is that this figure is roughly the average block reward value over the period divided by 100 On a totally unrelated topic, did anybody else using Windows find a new icon today? Microsoft are pushing Windows version 10. Teccie tip: If you want to remove the annoying icon, use Windows Update to remove KB3035583, reboot, wait for Windows Update to offer you that update again and then hide it, so that it is not offered again.

Given proper kernels it will be a powerful GPU... for its price. I hope to see results!
