To see where this kind of conduct leads, need only check out the fate of Fluttercoin, another piece of unique and innovative tech (proof of transaction) that is sitting on the crypto scrap pile primarily because the dev had the same kind of attitude.

That is the main value of a moderated thread.

The appearance of squabbling is very damaging to confidence.

I wouldn't trust any coin that hides behind a moderated thread. Free and frank discussion is essential to the development of community trust. Check the Darkcoin thread, the largest Alt thread on BTC Forum.

Then obviously you are a noob and you don't know what you are talking about. No posts were erased till now, it's a just in case. If you had just a little of documentation before writing this, DRK devs admitted that they should have adopted moderated thread, they were in FUD for weeks after MasterNodes, with market and development paused because of that.

*same thing with URO, CLOAK, etc.*

I suppose a moderated thread might spare us the kind of ignorant kneejerk abusive response that you seem to espouse... but no amount of browbeating is going to deter me from airing my opinions, without feeling the need to resort to personal attacks. Your style of delivery is merely something that we must endure in order to ensure a free exchange of ideas.

Moderated thread = FUD removal
It has nothing to do with my personality or yours.

I've no use for a forum that's devoted to uncritical sycophantic praise. Doubts and issues need to be confronted and addressed, not swept under the carpet. If the developers choose to moderate this thread, I shall feel free to assume that they have something to hide, and moderate my investments accordingly.

FUD on the thread is not that relevant. The quality of your coin is. I for one can't figure out what it is, I've tried asking before, got an answer without any real reason to like the coin.

Oh, again.. You don't really know the power of FUD. As example on URO , they created fake domains, twitter accounts, spreading them all over. Price dropped from 50k to 10-15k before dev to come online and clarify the situation. Anyway, I will not start to learn you some basic things that you should already knew about.

Uro was a fucking scam, that's why it failed. It's not FUD when it's true.

If FUD mattered, no altcoin would ever have success, every thread has to overcome this kind of bull shit. Supercoin is no different. One way to overcome it is by giving people a good reason to invest in your coin.

DEV team has the full right to moderate the thread when needed, @superteam has proven successful, why would they accept a group of same-day-registered-users to spread nonsense and FUD on DEV teams work, work that turns into projects, projects that are delivered at no charge (FREE). End of story.

Wallet issues.

I've finally succeeded in using Supersend, after multiple failures, for the following reasons:

Supersend will not work if the wallet is locked. Even when you are asked to enter the password, this is not enough to activate the feature successfully.
Supersend will not work uf the wallet is Unlocked for Staking Only. Even when you are asked to enter the password, this is not enough to activate the feature successfully.

Supersend will only work successfully if the wallet is Fully Unlocked. If it is Unlocked for Staking Only it must be locked and then unlocked with the staking only box unchecked.

None of this is detailed in the instructions. I discovered it by trial and error. But it does raise some serious security issues, if the wallet needs to be left online and unlocked.

Does the wallet need to be left unlocked to act as a Supersend Node? This would leave it vulnerable to attack whenever it is helping to support the network. I am not prepared to leave an unlocked wallet online, even with firewall protection.

Yes, after I`ve tried several times to use supersend and didn`t work (with the staking only box checked), I`ve also tried to use it with the wallet fully unlocked and worked smoothly.

I must say that I had never had the same issue with mammothcoin. I can use supersend either if the wallet is locked or unlocked or only staking. After entering the passphrase the transactions show up!

I`m not a fud or something, I have a lot more Supercoin then MammothCoin, but I think there is still an issue with the Supercoin wallet.
Or maybe the Mammothcoin wallet has issues and shoudn`t make transactions when the wallet is unlocked only for staking. I don`t know!

Devs??

As we have the fastest SUPERCOIN with trustless-anon system, we can implement many applications.
I suggest we must implement the p2p chat system as quickly as possible, everyone should have SUPERCOINs and pay micro fees for every message, and the wallet which run for the system could get a payment. It is a wonderful ecologiy. Wink

Supercointeam and dev, you really have to listen to the community and create the trust that is needed to make this a success.
Don't wait or you risk that yourselves and this coin will be left behind.
Now things are stable things need to be moved forward, trust as well as continued development.

@ Devs: Can we discuss the SuperNet option?

I would like to know what the community and the devs think about it.

I think this is a great opportunity and SuperNet is very interesting.

Biggest weakness of this coin is that it's on too many exchanges. Would be much higher priced if it was on just Bittrex.

Even though I don't fully agree, I think this is an interesting thought and I'd like to know why you think it's affecting the price.

Normally if price goes up on 1 exchange, it will follow on the others because people will try to buy where its traded lower and the buy orders ends up driving the price up everywhere.

I have to admit Supercoin is one of the coins where the spread between the exchanges is the most volatile.

3D Printing and Bitcoin, that's pretty cool.

The fewer exchanges a coin is on, the easier it is for whales to control the price.   Especially if they have bots helping them, fewer APIs and less randomness to worry about.  More exchanges usually means a somewhat fairer-traded coin (as well as the occasional arb opportunity when one of the exchanges falls out sync with the rest).

I think this is a great opportunity and SuperNet is very interesting.

This Supernet project does look interesting.
Applying to join might be a good idea, even if supercoin does not join it. Approval would just validate supercoins unique features and be great advertising.
Their requirements include multisig, and a unique feature (like supersend).

This description is interesting: http://supernet.answerbase.com/1098611/I-do-not-understand-how-the-SuperNet-will-work-exactly-Can-someone-explain-to-me
It describes a 3 way conversion ltc-bbr-ltc, to enable anonymous transactions by jumping blockchains.
Supercoin and supersend would do this better and faster, and it would be anonymous.
Now might be a good time to explain this to them, before another anoncoin grabs the spot.

Agreed. If we do this after SuperSend Trustless passes the CryptoCobain audit, we can expect a significant difference in BTC flowing into Super.

Supernet is not having a problem finding 100's of btcs in funding, simply applying or full out joining the project would put Super in the light of many investors.

Getting the code audited or verified by respected people is part of promotion in crypto. This is a reality right now. There is so many cryptos, people want the safe one.

From what I can understand you are willing to collaborate with CryptoCobain, I guess we can contact him more seriously and release the source code.
That's ok man we can get him see some part of codes or ask any questions. So he can verify our system trustless and works.
JFI you basically ask from a senior developer to be verified by amateurs who cant even do trustless system. Otherwise he would see the whitepaper and it would give him enough confidence about the rest Grin

Thank you for doing this.
It's not about ego it's about a trusted person in crypto giving you the nod. The greater amount of known and respected people that sign off on super the better known & respected Supercoin becomes.

Much respect to the Superteam for stepping out of their comfort zone to advance the project.
