You are wrong in your statement that illegal stuff has nothing good or nor bad. I do not know what do you perceive as good/bad but personally
I consider it bad that there are illegal guns for sale (I might get killed by a gun or someone close to me might get killed).
I consider it bad that there are some people who are drug addicts and once they got sick from their addiction I am the one who pays their medical treatment costs in form of higher taxes (if they are responsible of themselves, I do not so much care how badly some people want to destroy their lives).
None of these things are inherently good or bad, though. The gun is only bad if you shoot people with it, the drugs are only bad if... uh.. you have to pay for potential damages. I think that was what explorer meant; That an act is illegal does not make it good or bad, it only makes it illegal. That's a deep explanation my friend, you talk like a lawyer and you are on the topic when you explain. I know monero is use in dark market that's why I keep monitoring on the price because I do believe it can be a great currency in the future. Come one, can you tell me that is the best decision for the current price now, should it be a right time to buy and hold?

You are in the best position to answer that question yourself. It's better to learn trading from personal experience than to follow the leading of others all the time.

Incredible the flow of XMR I mean serious, i was just writing down the lending market and than i saw someone caught a lot at 164 to drop it to 160 eating 140 BTC Who does that at 164? The risk is so incredible high to loose with a short at this stage. I should now go in with a long and 300 BTC -but it will only rise to 164 than...think its still not enough too squeeze out some shorters

I probably should have recovered some of my lost coins in these so transparent up downs.
Been a bit scared but I should prob have trusted my self, looking retrospectively. :\

https://news.bitcoin.com/japanese-pay-utility-bills-bitcoin/Reminder: You can use XMR anywhere you can use BTC, via xmr.to or shapeshift.io The Japanese company offering utility bill payment via BTC is coincheck.com, which recently introduced XMR in their exchange platform, which offers JPY-XMR.

This is not the type of news that's going to add buying pressure to XMR. This news is good for bitcoin as another example of acknowledgement / adoption by a large company.... but no one's gonna be running out to buy bitcoin because of this. And people are definitely not going to be buying bitcoin -> converting to XMR just to pay electricity bills Now the Chrome extension is good development. I just don't like the icon they chose

This is not the type of news that's going to add buying pressure to XMR. The ability to seamlessly spend xmr to any btc address is an important selling point to those of us who regard XMR as a superior store of value and speculative instrument but have occasional bills to pay.

Yeah, the two or three of you who thinks XMR is a superior store of value AND want to pay bills with it. XMR could be a superior form of cash compared to BTC with the promise it holds, but it's hard to justify it as a superior store of value when it is far less secure than BTC, more prone to attacks and a lot more volatile than BTC. I can facilitate a mini crash / panic myself with only 200BTC

One could argue, if XMR becomes the promise it holds it will be as secure as BTC... volatility is no coin spec but traders choice.

This is not the type of news that's going to add buying pressure to XMR.
Everything that enables use of XMR is beneficial to the economy and utility of XMR. If anything it adds selling pressure, in the near-term. But growing the economy and utility of XMR is much more important in the long-run than any near-term variations. The volatility of XMR is an artifact of being under-priced. When the price is more closely aligned to the fundamentals, at a market cap at least an order of magnitude higher, then volatility will be much closer to BTC. Volatility is more of a problem for the unit of account use-case than it is for the store of value use-case. It is unavoidable in any instrument which appreciates by a factor of 200x over 30 months. When volatility is so heavily biased to the up-side, it not harmful to the store of value use-case.

As I wrote, look to the lending market. A lot of short positions have been opened. These are going to be closed soon + money which flew regulary into XMR will bring it in 5 to 10 days above 0200 i guess. Its just a matter of time. Keep calm

Bids throttled back severely, Asks way up. Thus, the price falls.

The price drop to 0.015 is a little scary, but, to be honest, I think its actually a good time to buy. That price seems way under-valued. People looking to make a quick buck are going to sell. Hopefully things stabilize over the next few days.
