wow....

what happened ?  why does it takes hours to confirm tx  in monero ?  do you realize Dash and Pivx confirm tx in split second ?

From my understanding there is a progressive scaling implemented but not ready for such a sudden hype.
Also, I am willing to wait a bit longer or pay a slightly higher fee to keep my transactions 200% private.

I don't understand these huge rises and falls for this coin.  Monero should be something that everyone is getting.  Bitcoin is great, but Monero seems like it has a real future, especially in places where bitcoin may be watched by governments.  Why is XMR dropping so much right now???

There are buyers and sellers in the market, and this time there are more sellers than buyers. So that's the reason why the price is dropping now.  Cool

Lol.  Simple truth.

Looks like the 130-131 range is holding nicely while bitcoin starts doing it's roman candle impersonation.

No coins have problems with transaction times if number of those dont increase.  Monero had them double this week compared to last month. And many many times more then 3 years ago. I know some coins have almost same in last 3 years.

I don't think this guy actually has any Monero, he just kindly pops by to remind us that Dash exists every now and then with a little friendly trolling Wink

He is a FUD , I think he assumes that he can swing the market with his childish tantrums, Dash is over priced while monero is just gaining pace, why the hell people think XMR will still be 120$ when BTC has surged to 4500$.

~0.026 marks the 38.2% retraction and coincides with previous resistance.

That should be a pretty reliable floor if you're able to get in there.

It has been quite the wild ride for Monero holders over the past week. After a sudden price jump across the exchanges earlier this week, a lot of people were confused as to what was going on. With a second price jump taking place, the confusion is only growing. It seems this is about more than mere price speculation related to the upcoming XMR listing on the South Korean Bithumb exchange.

Yeah, cool... thanks for reply.

I did get a little more IN today at about 0.028, but that's prob gonna be IT for me for this upcoming RUN (hopefully if it materializes, hope hope)

More what I'm wondering however is where to likely get OUT during this upcoming expected (??) frenzy triggered by the Korea promotion?

Aminorex said earlier in this thread that maybe he thought a peak about 060 was max we would see, so I'm tentatively thinking to be ready to get out around 050 or 045 just to be safe, leave a few chips on the table just trying to not be the patsy LOL

What do you think? 060-ish too high/low... and tentative timeframe for all this to play out before we stabilize (I'm guessing somewhere in $120-$150 range?)

I think it makes a big difference based on the btc price.  Even though btc just went up, the USD price of XMR stayed about the same while it dropped against btc.  I could be wrong but a massive change in btc's price will most likely affect whether we hit .06, .05 or even .04.  What would BTC/XMR price have to be if BTC were still at $500 in order to have Monero at $130?

I am choosing a target price in USD and if I want to buy or sell I will translate that into the BTC price.

Yes, I should clarify what I wrote above was based on assuming BTC was still in the $4300 ballpark, i.e. number in my head still and that wasn't incorporating the $300-jump we saw just earlier today.  Certainly that might make a difference in the BTC denominated numbers LOL

And yes, XMR does seem to stay more closely aligned with it's steadily increasing DOLLAR-denominated value over the last few months, which is why my last point number was in dollars, i.e. stabilize somewhere around something like $150-ish after these "Reindeer Games" (LOL Aminorex) are all concluded.

Anyway I've been dinking around with just getting this all set up last couple days but I think everything's all teed-up now... barring any major surprise.

So make the popcorn, Gertrude!  The show's about to start!?!?

P.S. Is it just ME or anyone else bugged by the name of this Korean exchange...?  It's missing a damn "T" there!  I think it's supposed to be pronounced "Bit Thumb" but depending how you look at it to read it, it's actually either "Bi - Thumb" or "Bit - Hummb".... aaaagh!  LOL  Cheesy

From what I understand, the "th" is pronounced as an S in Korean. So you would say "Bitsum".

Hey Keyjockey,

After reading your comment I am seriously interested to know since we have now stabilized at $130 and the sell walls are enormous how are you predicting 050-0.45 I cant even image 060.

What kind of time frame are you talking about 4-5 months. I dont even see us hitting 050 after the Korean Bithumb event.

Please elaborate.

No coins have problems with transaction times if number of those dont increase.  Monero had them double this week compared to last month. And many many times more then 3 years ago. I know some coins have almost same in last 3 years.

Haha too true.  The bold is just a theory, really.  Once they have a transaction, they will be able to confirm  Grin

Ha, no man... you misunderstood my whole gestalt: go back and read some of my earlier posts.

I'm not predicting anything and I'm actually NOT a "trader" but 99.5% just a HODL'er for a LONG time!  The vast majority of my stash is just sitting in long term cold storage, has been for a LONG time, and that's where it'll stay.

On the contrary I'm just caught up in all the hype/excitement lately due to this KOREA "event" stuff.

I've temporarily flipped some other coins that I don't care much about (i.e. if they end up being lost I won't cry too hard) into MORE MONERO -- just in case all the crazy predictions of $500+ per XMR really do happen, somehow, sometime soon.  IF the Koreans really CAN drive it up like this, as some are saying.

But if not?  Man, I'm totally HAPPY where we are already now.

$130-$140 is GREAT!!  If you asked me a month ago I would've said we shouldn't expect this level until at least after Christmas!

So, no: all this right now...?  This Is Fine!

But IF it keeps going?  Even better!  And I'm doing my part to maybe help it along by buying a little MORE too Cheesy

P.S. One thing for sure I've learned in 4+ years of being a crypto HODL'er is that ya gotta expect the unexpected, big time.  Nobody knows what will happen in anything in this space and the more you think you know the more you'll be surprised by what actually comes.

So, yeah, no, I'm not "expecting" $500 per Monero tomorrow but actually IF it happens?  I won't really be all THAT surprised either... LOL

Bear in mind that those 'enormous sell walls' will either be eaten rapidly, or pulled when the frenzy starts.  A year ago polo did over 6 million xmr in a day.  So even factoring USD price, its still a lot more than the enourmous sell walls we see now.
