Monero has been outted everywhere now. I'm afraid the future of monero is grim at best. Time to sell.

I slowly starting to get some 2015 flash backs as well. There is so much brewing development wise, but as well the recent shutdown of BTC-e, Alphabay, Bitmixer. The writing is on the wall, and I grew very patient over the years. Monero is a solid project and is already serving the world today. Thank you very much is all I can say to anyone contributing or using Monero today.

Hey guys, I know this is speculation thread but I'm here already 2 years and I would really appreciate some advice from u guys, I'm over 3 years full in Monero, but the last 7 days I am starting to think I need some bitcoins to... Would it be wise to buy bitcoins with 10 procent of my xmr stash? Or u guys think it's to late and Bitcoin wil come down when it reached 5000$?

XMR has pretty underperformed for 2017, it is on daily chart oversold in BTC, RSI oversold. Usually this is the point where a pump is near. If XMR pumps in BTC with this high BTC price, we can see 100 or 150 USD pretty fast.
I would hesitate to sell XMR now especially as the emission curve is going down and XMR thrown on the market every day by miners will drop in quantity.

Interestingly - someone on 4chan pointed out that Monero dropped pretty harshly and never recovered after Anonymint released his theoretical attack vectors on Monero.

I dug thru it all, read the dev responses and it seems more of a marketing ploy for the coin he's planning to release.  Which might be a great deal - time will tell.  It always makes sense to read and try to comprehend the most severe critics esp in this space.

Does anyobody really take Shelby seriously among the older users in this forum.  Sometimes it feels like he's on something everytime he makes one of those long ass posts with the quotes and all.

And do you think he's really capable of building a 'good' cryptocurrency?  The only other crypto I'm looking forward to is Bram Cohen's.

Interesting enough the mining difficulty seems to grow steadily, so the miners didn't give up on Monero.
Some take Shelby seriously, some not, but his theory, if proven, is bad. I am not smart enough for this, I don't have enough time to read that much and my English is rather limited. So I don't know..

On the other side, at 0.011BTC, Monero is interesting to look at. If it recovers "back to normal" that's a +50%..+100% return for whoever invests/speculates on it.

Easy solution: don't sell your Monero to get some Bitcoin, use some of that old-fashioned dirty paper fiat money for that!

Already all-in cryptos with your available fiat (like me)...?  Welp, then sell something, beg borrow or steal (not really) something to get more $ for buying the BTC.

But yeah, no, I wouldn't reduce XMR bags now, not after enduring the downtime we've had to get thru last few months.
