Daily standard deviation of poloniex USDT pairs since January 1, 2017

BTC 4.70%
XMR 7.58%
ZEC 7.82%
ETH 7.97%
DASH 8.09%
REP 8.16%
ETC 8.53%
LTC 8.73%
NXT 10.39%
STR 12.75%
XRP 13.74%

Can you explain the implications of this?

This is a measurement of volatility.   It is notable to me in two ways.

1. Respectively XMR is the least volatile (most stable) of the top alts.
2. Crypto is clownishly volatile. Wink
It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

So AlphaBay, Hansa, Bitmixer and now Btc-e. How could XMR price not rise? This is beyond bullish.

Price trends don't happen overnight.  Sometimes it takes months before the market finally moves even if the sentiment behind whatever is traded is overall good. I see it as a good opportunity to accumulate more XMR really.  I gave up ETC and might slowly give up LTC too, leaving me with BTC and XMR.

ETC looks nice, but why would you touch LTC? Shit is literally a photocopy of Cores worthless roadmap. I see 0 future use cases.

which is the important criterion here. how we need to get a result. this criterion is important while investing in what sense. XMR coin saving since the beginning of the year, at least as I see it. the graphic says so. Smiley

Why dont you google what standard deviation is. I know I learned about it in high school in some statistical  or business mathematics classes. I think right here it has to do with Poloniex volatility.  But let me Google it for you.

In statistics, the standard deviation (SD, also represented by the Greek letter sigma σ or the Latin letter s) is a measure that is used to quantify the amount of variation or dispersion of a set of data values.[1] A low standard deviation indicates that the data points tend to be close to the mean (also called the expected value) of the set, while a high standard deviation indicates that the data points are spread out over a wider range of values.

It seems my memory still serve me well.

There is two days left so should already flow. People withdrew their BTC. That is why there is so little bu orders. Was even under 600 BTC on Poloniex.

What's the current odds on the China goes full retard play?  Then after everyone is penniless Jihan Wu says, "It was worth it just to troll Luke Jr".

Or China can go full retard, perform the "anyone can spend" attack by going from legacy bitcoin to segwit, fork back to legacy bitcoin, spend all segwit transactions, and since their BCC chain wouldn't be affected, legacy BTC is now crippled while they pump their BCC coin.

With the exit of Bitmixer (allegedly due to LE pressure) can anyone explain how Dash's private send (formerly dark send) differs from the way Bitmixer mixed coins? I'm not looking for a Dash bash, just an explanation so that I can see whether (if) it's similar. If it is, would it be reasonable to assume that the LE might frown upon it?

Then after everyone is penniless

There is no scenario where everyone (everyone non-retarded, anyway) would become penniless.

My list of 43(+3) reviewed Bitcoin forks | You don't have to download the pre-fork blockchain again for each fork! | Beware of fraudulent AWS accounts sellers and dangerous edu AWS codes! + My personal list of legit sellers and scammers | Never publicly reveal your btc addresses, ownership or any other details and stay very far away from anybody who asks you to! | The general rule of safe buying is: if the seller is a newbie, with no reputation, with no topic nor trust feedback, offering no vouches and/or selling from a locked or self-moderated topic and unwilling to go first or use escrow => AVOID. Always check the trust feedback first and make sure that you have enabled "Show untrusted feedback by default" in "Profile / Forum Profile Information".

Practically they are saying that good days will come to the monero and I hope that it is so

I also read the article published in fortune that talked about monero and metastable, I was curious and went there on the metastable website to see more things and they only mention bitcoin, ETH and a variety of smaller coins. I suppose with a variety of smaller coins are including the monero.

I think that monero is gonna be between $45 -  $48 this aug 1st

XMR/BTC Is rising right now

$80 by the end of the year was not too exaggerated?

It is possible $65  by the end of the year, with the US chasing the darknet market, people will do everything to make them more anonymous

It`s hard to say how many transactions on BTC are used for DNM-purchase but i think it`s round about 2-3%.
If 50% of there 2-3% move over to XMR, the price should double very quick.

The forfeiture complaint issued by the justice dept re AlphaBay detailed almost 840,000 BTC passing through the AB's accounts between May 2015 and Feb 2017. As someone else pointed out, one might double that to account for the next two largest marketplaces in the DNM.

Does anyone know why even ByteCoin has more transactions than Monero? I thought Monero was the to-go privacy coin...
