LOL!

Thats funny!

Now realistically do you think when the Koreans are up we might hit $200? Seems like they are taking it nice and slow probably cause its 3AM there now.

What are your thoughts honestly/seriously?

why it matters? if you hodling - doesnt matter if it will be 200 or 158
if you are trader ANY price can make you profit...

I still don't get this kind of questions .... 200? for sure, when? dunno in hour in day .... doesnt matter

He is probably trying to day trade as I do. $200 pump now is pretty sure to dump later compared to a steady natural growth. I have put 3 sell stops to cash out this weekend up to $200 Smiley So that's what I am hoping for.

This event is fizzer so far, but hey up a little I guess

4 AM on the first day of a 2 day event.  It could happen yet...

Put things in perspective. You guys killed it this year.
https://localmonero.co ftw

Forgive my petulance and oft-times, I fear, ill-founded criticisms, and forgive me that I have, by this time, made your eyes and head ache with my long letter. But I cannot forgo hastily the pleasure and pride of thus conversing with you.

is it still worth to buy monero?

I buy a small amount every week no matter where the price is and haven't regretted it yet. Only wish I had been doing it sooner (as in before alphabay). Smiley

The next Alphabay will have a much, much larger impact on the fundamental value of XMR.  For one thing, it won't allow BTC or ZEC (insert image of Cazes hanging by his belt in a Bankok jail cell).  For another, it will grow faster and to a much larger size:. The pent-up demand will be enormous, and the fear factor involved in using BTC or ZEC won't be there to inhibit transactions.

But bootstrapping trust requires magic.  How long that will take, I do not know.  If it takes too long, a technical solution will emerge.

Cazes was caught by using a hotmail.com address in the AlphaBay welcome email, which had nothing to do with BTC. Are there any known cases of darknet market users being caught by tracing BTC transactions? I doubt police in most countries would have the resources to do that. And even if they use Monero, they would still leave a trace on their exchange when they cash out to fiat. So I don't see how using XMR on the DMNs makes much of a difference.

Edit: I thought about this some more and I see the benefit now. Monero is untraceable and as a vendor this has great utility. Although I expect governments to hate this. Bitcoin will be regulated. XMR will be outright banned.

One question: Assuming future darknet markets adopt XMR, will the Monero network be able to scale to accommodate that?

He might have been caught from his hotmail.com address,  but he would be accused and set to prison because of his transparent BTC or ZEC transactions. I dont think sending emails is illegal.

I have been watching Monero for a while and I have considered investing, but 2 things concern me; the scalability, and the fact that in the coming years Bitcoin is likely to get similar anonymity and fungibility features.

I highly, highly doubt that.

Unless that anonymity is default, it's not truly fungible.

I would suggest that if you truly can't tell the difference that baked in anonymity brings compared to a transparent blockchain you shouldn't invest.

Think about it... how many years did it take the bitcoin devs fighting about changing the block size before anything happened?  So how in the world do you think they could EVER add privacy at the protocol level and not have multiple hard forks with competing approaches?  It will never happen!

And how it happened.  Or sort of tried to happen.  What a clusterfuck.  Bitcoin384 might be the fork that can compete with XMR.  If it comes with a way-back-machine.

Well, guys... heh... so far RED RED RED, not what we expected, eh?

Is this P&D actually this time gonna be a "Dump & Pump" instead?

Or just a big Dump & Dump incoming...?

Whales are TESTING for STRONG HANDS first...? ? ? ? ?

We still gonna see a pump, a new ATH still coming?  Anyone's ideas for the weekend changing?

I am curious too, however its just too hard to say at this point and its only 10.40AM in Korea as well.

A new ATH would be nice but seems far fetched. Let's see.  Smiley

Yeah, most capital from trader transfer to Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum Classic, Monero has been left behind and today, 24 hours volume trading of Monero just = 1/10 Litecoin Undecided

I still wait Monero comeback and reach to $200 Roll Eyes

It was so weird seeing all those predictions of $200,250,300,350,400 over here.

I looked at the bithumb sell orders $150 there is around 890 BTC worth of Monero up for sale. That is going to be one hell of a wall.

Not sure if much is going to happen honestly however I am always curious to see what others have to say by looking at their charts and what not.

Question is will Multisig be available before then?

Well, we shall see Grin

Shh go away with your predictions you were already right last year  Tongue  I personally expect atleast one last cycle upwards with the correction after that.

I concur, the problem is figuring out  where that is going to happen!

Does anyone have the date and time the event is ended?

I think on Monday we will have a price below 0,026
The event never ends, it's an ongoing process  Grin

I think that would be unlikely to be honest unless some major sh*t happens.

It has a very very strong support at $130

Who's to say you can't have your cake and eat it too?

It's not like $5000 BTC is a pipe dream.  (Pretty sure it's gonna happen.  Soon.)
