Maybe, I have only seen one picture of that kid and wouldn't waste my time even looking for one, I have no respect for him, Fluffy OTOH I do respect what he has accomplished with this team and would like to see him make an effort when being the face of Monero.

Is being the "face of Monero" a responsibility he asked for, or is it one you're assigning to him?

It's a role he stepped into when accepting the position to goto monero talks as a community representative.

Professionalism becomes mandatory as some point, I am pointing out a glaring discrepancy between the way he addresses the two positions. I am not talking shit about "suits" I was simply addressing the fact that NOBODY else is fronting Monero in real life, that was all. You can twist it how you want, but whatever.. Nobody else is doing presentations or anything, so yeah, that does make him the Face of Monero for now... Let's hope that changes - and Sure, by all means, go present.. wear whatever the fuck ya want, but at least look professional. That's the point !!!

Well a FFS was just funded for a person that has been giving presentations all throughout Europe.  BTW this was the 3rd FFS that was funded all for relatively small amounts.

There is quite a bit going on in Monero but you won't know about it if you are only on bct

I have never been so bullish on XMR like now.

• Look at the reddit community, we have nearly 26k subscribers, 2500 online sometimes. Growing so fast.
• Future technological upgrades and research from Monero lab are simply huge: I2P Kovri, Multisig, Lightwallets, RuffCT, maybe Zidechains and pruning
• Real world integration with Fluffyponies FFS into market places which will present XMR to millions of users

Gentlemen, Monero is a highly active, undervalued project.
Add the decreasing emission to this and we will see prices around 500 USD not very far from now.

I don't dislike your opinions at all. In fact I enjoy reading many of your comments on this thread. I only question the value of expecting someone to behave (or dress) a certain way when they have no obligation to do so whatsoever. He's a person on the internet who does whatever he wants, and just because he generally knows what he's talking about and gives a good speech, that doesn't somehow make him obligated to be our representative.

XMR started here and the main thread should be updated with all these developments you speak of. dEBRUYNE does a great job of dropping things like software updates and crowdfunding requests but the "quite a bit going on" should at least be linked in the main thread.

Actually if you read last developers meting notes https://monerobase.com/wiki/DevMeeting_2017-09-17 you can see that luigi has stepped up to become Monero main maintainer.

I hate to bring the other side of the coin here but it needs to be considered.

I agree with this analysis, and I am excited in general.  And have donated more than I have to any other project so far.

But if the deal goes south, or this fails becaused of any reason it will deliver a SERIOUS blow to the image of Monero.  I hope they know what they are doing. 

Asking the community for 4500XMR (currently nearly a half mil USD) and then not delivering would be devastating image wise.
