Does anyone know cardano coin? It just jumped over Monero at coinmarketcap

Well, it's PoS and almost all of its coins are already in circulation...not good signs.

Here is the GitHub page:  https://github.com/monero-project/monero . If you have something special to add, submit it a pull request.

You'd probably do better asking on this thread tho:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=583449.37100

Gembits is an odd bird...  take with a grain of (bath)salt.

As to your question, I'd pop in the IRC channels.  See the XMR Ann thread OP.

On the plus side, all time $ value for XMR.

On the negative, we are out of top 10 for some time due to bitcoin gold getting included in the ranking, Ethereum classic nearly doubling, and something call Cardano popping into top 10 after going 3x in last 7 days...

Oh well, I'll take the all time $ value for XMR!

Edit:  Oops, back in top 10!

Approaching $200! If we see similar gains like we did in 2016, 2017, we could see $2000+ Monero by the end of 2018!

Cardano from nowhere and a 135% increase in a day?

I don't reckon that is sustainable...  In any case we are back in the top ten.

Bithumb is a notch ahead on most things.  BTC was pushing over $10,800 a little while back.

Not sure why it's not arbed, but I looked at joining when they first added Monero and the English was iffy and there were a lot of questions I needed to know that only had answers (it seemed) in Korean. Scared me off!

Same here although I wish I had opened the account anyway just for times like this. Smiley

Quite a steep rally - I imagine there is some news right around the corner Wink

On polo, I get this message now:

"XMR is currently under maintenance or experiencing wallet/network issues. Deposits and withdrawals will remain disabled until a solution is found, which may require an update from the XMR team. Any updates must be tested and audited before enabling."

Kind of odd.... anyone know of anything going on?

Strange...and I've got a pending withdrawal too...perfect

Polo is doing their own arb and all of us are supplying them. They are a scam exchange now.

Damn Polo...   Was just looking 'leggy'
Perhaps I am superstitious but seems to me a lot of xmr rallies get interrupted by things like this...  but here's to dusting off getting back up and stretching those legs! Wink

Yep straight up manipulation. I've been pointing out Polo's timing in dropping orders only when the market goes to my advantage for almost a year now.

There is an enormous amount of hate for bfx, but I have found it powerfully useful regardless.  It is my biggest market making moneymaker now by far.  Of course market making is pointless in times like this, when it is just going straight up.

I think the totality of the ire for Bitfinex is their association with Tether.

Thing is, in general I think Tether is a great idea.  They just executed it badly.  And in just ONE key area as far as I know.

Tether needed to be backed by verifiable USD, and they needed to be exchangeable for USD.  And therein lies the rub.  I imagine a choir of lawyers stopping them from doing what was right. Provably USD backed Tethers with the guarantee that 1 tether could be exchanged for 1 USD would melt away all these problems.  But that would require for them to keep that money on deposit.  And to PROVE IT.

The thing that astonishes me is that they have left the door of speculation that this is NOT the case WIDE OPEN.

While bitcoin thunders past $10300,  Monero quietly passes the 100000% mark for the cheapest XMR.  Cheers Smiley

Couldn't be sustained, sliding back down now.

It hit $200 before December though, impressive stuff.

Indeed, but it's better to retrace a little this month than go parabolic before the year ends. Cool

Even if not freely exchangeable without hurdles and restrictions, it would help if they just did a damn audit to prove that the USD exists.

Unwillingness to show a public audit screams scam (of some type). Period. There is no other explanation.

Interesting Smiley

I should add, mine:

Q1: $200
Q2: $200
Q3: $800
Q4: $500

I feel that we will see some stagnation, then in Q2 I think alot of shit crypto will drop (Dash, insert other shitcoin), then I think we will see XMR independently rise, realising its true value in Q3.
