This will have to turn around at some point soon.

Anyway, Kraken got a banking license and they have an XMR/USD trading pair, so things aren't that bad. It also looks like we may be getting some more pro-"crypto" regulators coming soon in the US.

Summoning all OG XMR BULLS!

This is a pivotal moment in the history of humankind. Monero is likely to be our only hope at ever having a truly private and immutable cryptocurrency.

Sure we can all stack our bitcoin or ethereum and get rich from previous sales of xmr and/or other cryptocurrencies, but this doesn't necessarily make the world a better place.

Monero is hope and freedom. And there aren't many investments where you can change the world solely via financial investment.

What side of the fence do you sit on. I know which side I'm on.

Time to smash that buy button  ;-)

Just running some figures...

I predicted Monero for June 2021 with 0,036BTC
Now say, BTC is at €50k in June (quite conservative calculation) and XMR is at 0,036BTC (quite conservative calculation) that would equal to €1800/XMR
Now if you want to be a XMR millionaire in € you would need to sell 555,555556 XMR to reach €1.000.000 in June  Roll Eyes

In that context, at the current given exchange price for XMR/BTC looks like a heavy bargain  Wink

You still think 0.03X in June? I don’t think that’s even remotely likely. Unfortunately.

Maybe over the next 3 years.

Starting to build a margin position here. From 0.0035 to 0.007 is 2x your BTC. It's inconceivable that this won't happen, and it will likely happen in Q1. Even if we only recover to 0.0053 that's 50% return. XMR has been going down almost consecutively since mid December with no recovery in sight. There's no fundamental reason that I can see for this complete wreckage. We're back to 2016 levels. Before the alphabay pump when XMR struggled to break out past 0.0042. Not that other altcoins are doing great, but for XMR this is the kind of blood in the street and full on capitulation that's perfect for entry. I can't think of any better purchase than monero at the moment. Not a big fan of margin, but just can't help it at these levels.

STRONG BUY

XMR looks like it's crashing and burning versus BTC, but has been holding steady against the dollar.  So the apparent crashing a burning of XMR is really just a function of the madly mooning btc market.  Makes me think it behooves to wait until this btc bull runs out of steam before aping into XMR.

I told myself a while back that anything below .01 is a strong buy... this is buy one get two free kinda prices Tongue

And yes, perfect time for people who missed out in 2015/2016 to hop on board again for the kinda “mad gains” people know and love...

I suppose I am just mad because I really have all I want in my positions in both BTC and XMR.  I am pretty much already all in, unless I sold my house.

But XMR should be ~ $300 US now.  Conservatively.  And XMRBTC should be in the 7 range at least.

F&*$ing Bittrex.  Heh.

I am glad for those of you who want to load up a little.  But damn.

Unless there is something fundamentally that is super messed up Monero is ridiculously oversold.

There was no hesitate that XMR will follow the BTC trend as like as ETH. And this was not happen only for the bittrex delisting news. Same also happened with some other privacy coins.
Yes, it's sure that this news has helped to fall down the price of XMR but this will back again on it's position today or tomorrow, And the main lose will be bittrex will lose huge user after this delisting.

Haha, I hope not Cheesy Regulations have taken all the fun out of it. The only way forward is to completely decentralize trading on permissionless, unstoppable exchanges. I believe centralized exchanges will take a big hit in the coming years as we transcend them with decentralized finance. The old broken financial system is pushing us out, and they will come to regret that. Now atomic swaps are being worked on, and there are experiments with wrapped xmr. Eventually wrapped xmr will be made trustless and allow unregulated, KYC-less trading with massive volumes on services such as uniswap. That will be very exciting.

I am very eager-minded towards atomic swaps, but how is Monero solving the issue to swap for example for BTC if you have to be on chain in the same SHA256 environment as the swapable coin? If you have to trust another p2p exchange, as for example bisq, you have no real advantage. So how is Monero trying to solve that?

Atomic swaps will be completely trustless, what you call "p2p exchange like bisq" will only help buyers and sellers find each other and agree on the price.

From a technical perspective you are propably right, in terms of value gain because of this technical advantage i think it is also well place here

So it seems they will work like BitTorrent.  There is a tracker basically with offers, and then you can initiate a trade directly on the two chains.  The tracker is not absolutely NEEDED.  People could develop decentralized ways to oracle the offers... I would imagine the trade itself will be a protocol, for which more than one client can be developed.  Similar to the way lightning works.
