Just looking at ULTC, they have an interesting insurance concept. Not sure why people think it's special though? All it does is mine currency through the blockchain for the Devs to keep in case of an exchange going down....

The blockchain insurance looks like a feature people want. Maybe we should add it to the communitys list of wanted features?

I vote against it, but through the implementation of the new POS I would support the integration of a Hedge Fund type feature to secure our currency through merged mining, to decrease volatility.

While we are waiting for block 60000 and the reduction... Why not come up with a cool slogan for the coin... Every coin needs a slogan... So lets see what you guys can come up with... Here are a few suggestions that I have thought of...

"The Stars cannot shine bright without darkness"
"Lite&Dark... Our playground"
“Surrounded by darkness yet enfolded in light”
“It matters not how fast light may travel, darkness shall always be there awaiting its arrival.”
"Be a Lite in the Dark... Lets change the world together!"

"Don't be afraid of the DARK... Shine your LITE and find treasures there!"

Even though I like all kinds of ideas,  even a nice new logo  its not the time for a new logo.
Use your efforts on making movies needed for the new homepage instead.  LTCD really deserves a nice video and we can't release the homepage before we vote for the best video to put on the frontpage.

We recieved one video so far and a other one is coming..

Do you know when the contest ends? I didnt see it on the whitepaper section 6.7 or anywhere else.

There is not a date decided yet. But we will annouce the end date a week before so everybody have time enough to finish there work.

Are there any plans for a mobile wallet app? From my experience the sooner this can be developed (or development begins) we can assure long term support. This allows merchants and other services to more easily accept LTCD and etc. Or atleast some mobile geared features?

It is under dev, but we need to make sure they work with the 2 Gen wallet. We do not want to launch 2 different Android, IOS wallets.

Fiat Marked vs Crypto

No doubt that the Fiat marked looks a little un-bright for next many months. We see it at the Stock marked at the moment, no high rises and not even near the unbelievable rises in 2012 and 2013.
Fiat investors will flee in to safe haven the next moths and some of it will end up in crypto world and hopefully it will shine on LTCD as well  
In Europe things dosent look as bright as 2013, Italy is close to beat Spain in unemployment and hit 36% unemployed people below 35 years of age.
Italy is rising taxes to be able to get in line with EU demands on max dept of 2% and because of this 2-3 Company owners commit suicide a day !!!. Greece is a story for it self and is very slowly climbing up again, but if a second crises is going to hit now, then it will drag Greece down and perhaps to a level where the world bank has to step in.
Germany can not keep the speed up and has adjusted its total growth of 2014 from 4% down to 2½%.
Angela Merkel has asked US Government to pay back the 2000 Metric tons gold they "should" have kept in safety, but problem is that the States has used it all and cant pay back Germany. US government says that Germany can get the volume back at earliest 2020 !
Thats the reason why we see gold prices is kept down by speculation by a big american bank to help the US government to buy back the gold for Germany.
It now shows as well that a lot of gold bonds has been sold without any real gold behind it, so the gold bonds now exceeds the volume of real gold.
UK used up their gold reserves last month and is struggling to buy back in a marked with very little real gold.
China has released state controlled gold bars, with Tungsten inside the bars  (tungsten has almost same density as gold), a huge scandal is under its way...

This is just what i can read in the latest newspapers and news sites and if we just went 4-5 month back it was all glory and good predictions.
The Only shining star right as this moment is the rising price of the US dollar and the increase in personal spending's in US, besides that, it looks not so bright...
So were would you put your money besides gold at the moment......Crypto is not a bad guess and perhaps even LTCD

Spoke with the ceo on the phone today its deffinatley a genuine op to get into an up and coming project that ties an exchange,lending service,cloud mining,btc broker, pysical coin outlet these are the current revenue streams for share holders.

I have a solution that's this version but 90% decentralized and run on a side blockchain. Stay tuned for my whitepaper. Best of luck to them though.
