@-ck is there any way to have a block history, with the average hash and some statistics for the last blocks mined on your pool? Because I'm always interested in seeing the last blocks of the pool Cheesy

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Working now
In that case it's your IP address that has something repeatedly trying to log in with this address which is invalid: 1jgddx4awtlxn9g3hmfzr99cvczk2u66mq
Please look around, you probably have it as a backup somewhere on one of your configs.

I have just decided to put everything in solo and let it ride. So far it appears to be working.

{"hashrate1m": "3.64T", "hashrate5m": "3.13T", "hashrate1hr": "3.05T", "hashrate1d": "1.14T", "hashrate7d": "199G", "lastupdate": 1426547567, "workers": 2, "bestshare": 118405504.19514887}

I was going to setup a little python script to track my metrics over time and setup some monitoring alerts so I know if something goes south. Do you have any preference on the poll interval to the stats page? I was thinking like every 5 minutes unless you don't want the extra 288 hits a day.

Thanks for setting this pool up!

Stats are updated every 1 minute. Anything less than one minute makes no sense and every minute is fine by me.

IPV6 mining is also available via solo6.ckpool.org:3333 and solo6.ckpool.org:443

Just noticed and curious what is IPV6 mining as mentioned in your OP?

It makes no difference. It only provides another way to connect to the pool if you have an IPV6 capable system and are connected via IPV6 in some way to the internet instead of the regular IP address which is IPV4.

Problem is with renting hash is that on miningrigrentals the biggest rig is 560TH @ 0.00001269btc / GH which costs 7.1btc for 24 hours.

On coinwarz it calculates that with 560TH it will take 4.21 days to find a block on average - http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/bitcoin-mining-calculator/?h=560000&p=1180.00&pc=0.10&pf=0.00&d=47427554950.64830000&r=25.00000000&er=309.86000000&hc=0.00.

So to find a block in 1 day using average luck @ 0.00001269btc / GH you will need 2.35PH - http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/bitcoin-mining-calculator/?h=2350000.00&p=1180.00&pc=0.10&pf=0.00&d=47427554950.64830000&r=25.00000000&er=309.86000000&hc=0.00 which will cost 29.82btc.

Baring in mind this is with average luck, you could have good or bad just stating the figures which I think are right, please ignore the small details like watts and cost I was simply after a time scale.

Like you, I'm not sure that's a good deal. Your expected daily income at 560 Thps would be:
560e12/2^32/47427554950.64830000 * 86400 * 25 = 5.93815 btc

So you're paying 20% over expected, or can expect to earn 20% under. Most (bitcoin) gambling games have a house edge of only 1%.

Exactly! Paying for hash at top dollar for big rigs through mining rig sites is feasibly and expectably unprofitable but you have to factor luck into the equation.

Renting that kind of hash and pointing it to a solo pool you're banking on luck.  Burn 7BTC and hope you hit 25.  You're definitely not renting that kind of hash for the long game... Because you're pretty much guaranteed to lose.

This is not different to gambling, not at all, except the house edge is much larger. Whether short or long term, it's a losing proposition. You can't 'bank' on variance, or gamblers would all be rich.

Of course it's gambling.  House edge is great for people who actually pay attention to it, but if everyone did you'd never see a single player sitting at a slot machine, betting on roulette or any number of other poor choices.  Everyone would be finding those 9/6 JoB poker machines.  While they certainly get their share of traffic I challenge you to find a casino where there are no players sitting at that penny slot hoping to land that 3.2M progressive.
