They are offering the 1TH version for BTC1.5, which is much lower than anywhere legitimate.

Have they been delivered from that website? They link to a video of Jack from LightningAsics and I confirmed with Jack that that is not his site. That, plus the super cheap price and no acceptance of credit cards or PayPal (a reversible form of payment) leads me to be highly skeptical of that site at the very least.
Also, the social media links at the top simply go to the homepages of those sites.

Some people paid (in advance) as far back as September 2013 in exchange for an edge on in-hand currently shipping product. If BA had shipped on February 24th the edge would have been worth the wait vs. the Ant S1. Compensation has to be network difficulty based to square this.

I know I know some exceptions with the S2, but the S3 it pretty much the S1 on steroids and I'd say there was 1% failure rate or less with those little tanks.

That is what I have determined I will be doing.  That will allow me to hear whatever they have to say tomorrow (as we will more than likely not hear anything today), and after that, based on my calculations by what I can reasonably assume BA can and will offer as compensation, it is not worth it anymore.

I have talked with my lawyers, and really the only thing left to do is for me to request my refund and be denied and we will have a case.  I can't speak to much more on the matter for various reasons, but I doubt it will be much of a problem on getting a refund.  Then all of those sweet juicy S3's will be mine and I can laugh and leave BA far far behind.

The simplest answer is usually the correct one. I don't believe for one second that BA isn't mining while they "test" the units. They've had working hash boards for a few weeks now and seem to have breakthroughs at convenient times that delay shipments so they can apply said breakthrough.

Why speculate, they have already published screen shots with the BTC address some mining has been going to, it's not like it's a big secret conspiracy. But most shipping asic vendors can tell you that it's quicker to make a million dollars selling miners, than it is to mine a million worth of BTC, as most hardware takes months just to cover it's construction cost with mining. Getting boxes out the door quickly is the best revenue, just look at how much net hash antminers have, and work out how much BTC bitmain made from selling those!

Mining with versus selling,.. Yes selling is more money faster.
However,..
Selling, THEN mining with that HW until the last possible second and THEN shipping same (now useless hardware) = best of both worlds. I get my profits AND your profits and the "risk of repercussion" is minimal.

My guess is they'll claim that a shipment of LCDs has just arrived and they'll have to delay for another week to produce a full spec miner. I'm sure they'll be creative in any case...

What about the X1? If they're shipping then who's getting them? If it were the customers we'd all know by now.

They are mining with hardware it's plain to see we have paid them they have screwed us and we'll most likely get them when they are almost burnt out and of no value but we will still have to pay import fees on useless equipment and that’s the advantage we have been rewarded for pre ordering.

I suspect they may have taken delivery of the Minion back in 2013.
