Hey folks good evening to you all.
So I'm suffering from serious hash rate depression and thinking of adding an S9. Can anyone suggest waiting a while or just scraping every last bit of hard coinage together and taking the plunge.
I'm still waiting on five S7's that Japan Post mixed up for me (I got a child's hand bag by accident). If I ever see these for my $1500 then I could probably eBay them for a return.
The language barrier is difficult "clearing they clearing" is about the most info I can get. I can just see some 4 year old mining instead of playing with her Amazon handbag.
Anyway, Earnings have dropped a little then with the halving, not as much as I would like. Obviously the S9 will be mining at Kano.
I too want another (or more) S9. I was just at the Bitmain page and prices haven't budged. Personally, I'm going to have to wait unless there is a big BTC price increase or they lower the price of the S9. It's very tempting as I'm also suffering hash rate withdrawal. My S7's are barely profitable at these coin prices and I'm only running them 12 hours a day to cut back on electric use. Yeah, I want at least one more S9, but not at over $2000 each. P.S. Yes, Kano is the only pool I mine. Not going to bother searching for a cheap imitation. I'm staying put at the best.

Wow...VERY interesting. Haven't seen that before. A while ago, the pool was showing some really whacked out rates on all my miners, both home and DC. Wish I'd had a minute to screenshot it, but had to go help the neighbor next door for a moment...now it's all back to normal (that word not used in my home often). Usually if I check my workers on the Kano website right after the network hits a new block I have seen some pretty wacked out Share Rate numbers...from the best hashing miners in the world to all zeros. It always goes back to normal after a couple of minutes. After a split second of panic I look up at the last network block at the top of the page and see that it is less than a minute I breathe a sigh of relief and just check back a couple of minutes later...

I was hoping the price would come down, sure they know they have the super hardware and just getting fat off of the profits. If no one else makes anything similar, charge a lot of money for it. Plenty of over time at work guess just got to work a little harder. Don't know why I keep doing this as I'll be in the same position 6 months down the road yet again. At least it's a fun hobby, a little expensive mind.

I see the supply and demand of the market fluctuating to adjust over the next two weeks then rising to ~$1800 by the end of September then rising to ~$3000 by the end of the year. MINE ON!

Yes, make that happen! we can only dream, I'm be happy with an increase to $1000 for now. it's hard to justify buying new bitmain miners at the current prices, even with cheap or free power, their quality is so low it's always a risk...

Just got back from a trip to the main town here...always fun to look at the board when I sit down at the workstation. I don't think we're going to see $1K+ spot, or higher, anytime soon. I actually hope we don't, because that sort of spike has always resulted in an ensuing crash that usually takes it back below where it was initially (read as below $600). Steady climb, or even relative stability (which is what we're seeing now) is good. That said...I also don't see BiteMe maintaining those prices for long. Sure, and there's a bunch of us here that bought numbers of S9s at $2K, but now that the hard reality of the halving is taking hold on a number of those folks, the most likely scenario is that S9 sales at the current prices will tank. BM isn't dumb (although sometimes we are led to wonder) and will drop the price when they see the volume drop...which is probably right about now. S7s were over $1K when they came out. Now they're $440, and it's only been a few weeks since the S9 came on the scene. I'll wait a bit.

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

Sure I'll find some medication to control the hash rate depression.

You know you're getting old when you have a double Glenlivet 18 to celebrate figuring out how to get the launcher on the bottom of the screen in 16.04...when you just did it a couple of months ago...

Then I guess I should fire up the S7's a couple hours early to help bust it! 13.5 TH more on the way to help!

Dang it! Had to power off all my equipment again for another major thunderstorm. The power is flickering again! Arrrggggg! Radar looks like the storm has made itself at home right over my house. Sorry I can't help you folks crack this block for at least another hour. But I'm rooting for ya!!!
