Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

so I was all ready to go to get my new s7 on the pool. Open up my psu and find someone had switch it for a pos dell 250w 1990s psu.

Lesson learned: don't by a "used" psu from the zon even if they have "checked" the box.

Psu was missing MB cable was missing and the evga jumper was missing. Oddly though all the vga cables were there.

Sad now I gotta take a few of my s5s off line to power my new s7 till a get a new power supply.

Really wishing I knew an electrician to help me put in 240v power couple hundred for an electrician to come out and do it really hurts the ROI.

amazon warehouse used gear has had these issues.

 do you live near me?

I am in New Jersey
sort of.. LOL Ohio

called up another place I had ordered from before. their website was saying out of stock but they actually had a few in. they were about $20 more but at least I know I will get what I order.

Kano congrats on your 500th block on your pool!

Congrats for sure, a 'cool pool' thanks Kano (+CK) ... and over those 500 blocks the luck average has now increased to 106%.

AMAZING ...

Never seen that before on a pool before ... keep weaving the 'code' magic.

I was checking the stats page and noticed kilowatt is 4th place in hashes with 790.40THs. How did he win the Avalon with that much hash or is it just rented hash? Did he outsmart us and lowered his hashes into multiple accounts before the 5nd so it's within the requirements? No hard feelings. Well Played Sir.. lol

Tin foil hats on... j/k.

I think the magic bonus for block 500 should go back to 499 if Avalon/Canaan doesn't want it  Grin - I mean I did find it with an Avalon miner (hence the AV04 on the name)...  Wink

Edit - and I'm a long time kano.is miner - been here since block 24 - lol

ckpool restart coming up in 33mins from now, when the minute hand next hits 30

ckpool restarts are of course immediate
There will be a few failovers, but most will be ok.
Last restart, only about 1% of miners failed over, this time should be the same.

Changes are to do with remote nodes and distributing our blocks out to the network even faster Smiley
Our zero orphans, for almost 11 months (none for 322 blocks), are a sign of how well that is working.
Lets hope that continues Smiley Of course sooner or later we'll get another orphan, but these changes help reduce the chances of that happening.
