My Antminer S5 seems to drop other board with these DDOSes and needs a reboot to get that board back online. Is it normal for Antminer S5 (sorry if this is a wrong place to ask)?
no its not normal.. post in the s5 thread your power supply and firmware version.. happened to 1 of my s7 too after hard reset it was ok. fw issue for sure. Manual fan speed seems to keep the s7 from locking up after ddos. I think on auto the temp swings are too severe. This is when you have a cluster of s7's I believe (like 12 in the same place/rack).

de.kano is back online.
... Yeah the earlier problems were all resolved with remote nodes with the system settings fix.
However a new one appeared that was rather more problematic so I had to take the DE node down.
Not sure how long that will be. I've redirected all the DNS back to the main node until it's sorted out.

Avalon and kano.is are having another great miner give-away!
So it was just my birthday and my only present was an unexpected emergency root canal, which delayed another, less urgent surgery I had already scheduled... Sure would be a nice present... I guess if karma is a thing, there wouldn't be much better a candidate to win one of these bad boys.

I joined kano yesterday with 900ghs . I got some small payments but want to know if you can hold them so I don't get 3 payments a day for 16 cents.
should I also increase or decrease the diff rate. im running 2x S3 and 2 more waiting for a power supply.

Kano is working on a once-a-day payment systems, he has mentioned it several times since the pool has grown. He will post here when it is ready and implemented I'm sure. Increasing or decreasing the diff has no effect on your payouts or anything else for that matter.

Just got my first S7 in, anything special I should configure for CKPool? Any other tips for an S7?
Use hosting. j/k... Just be sure and give it a proper PSU with all the power connections. AFAIK, the usual pool settings should work. Got mine at 575 MH and 30% fan speed to try to cut down on the noise... Other than that, you should be GTG. oh wow, yeah, this thing is loud, what temperature does yours reach running 575MH w/30% fan speed? I just set mine to 575MH with 50% fan speed, and got a lot of x's, something I need to change other than the two drop downs in the GUI?

When i was at MRR i used to get a lot of x's on my s3+ two or three times per week. Now my miners last weeks without a single restart. Another reason for me to be here..

Just my two satoshi....
Should consider updating post #1 with all the remote node addresses. I searched and found them, but new people may not realize that they exist. Also, may make sense to update the website, too.

There is a reason for that - there still has been instability at these nodes, and DE/RU are actually currently down, so until they're stable it doesn't make sense to encourage them for default use, but people who regularly stay abreast of news on the forum thread can test them for us and know if/when there are issues.

Yes the shares % is showing currently a bad luck block, however its not unusual too get an unlucky block. Overall luck of the pool is good. Please do a little research on Bitcoin/pools/mining etc... to familiarise yourself.
EDIT: typo

let's face it, I do not understand this swimming pools, do not even understand how the payments, I read that many people are happy with this pool and its gain, I tried to read the difference between pps, and pplns, and the only thing that I realized pps and you almost always the same payout, instead pplns you paid for shares when there is a block. if I ask something, and because I do not understand, I'm trying to understand this pool of about five days, but honestly I have not understood anything. also wanting to make 2 accounts math I never liked. anyway thanks again for the answers, although after my posts are deleted, that someone will do bother

Maybe ask in your local native language section and you'll understand better? You're flooding this with questions that have all been answered but you're struggling with English it seems.
