Had to restart KanoDB urgently - an issue with the share checking getting bad results.

No effect on mining at all.

KDB restart will complete in a few minutes.

Had to restart it again.
There's a problem with the data the ckpool is sending to KanoDB - corrupt share diff values (it's reporting them also)
Would seem that someone has found a way to make ckpool screw up
KDB was reporting every single one of them and thus truck loads of messages on the console.
I had to stop those messages, so now it's all ok again once this 2nd restart completes.

Again: No effect on mining at all.

I found who was causing the problem.
Someone thought it would be a good idea to edit that crappy miner that stole the name I came up with ... bfgminer ... and they hacked up their reply to the pool to always return crap.
Their IP is now banned forever from every server and their account closed since they've been doing this for a while it would seem ... never having actually submitted a single valid share in 1.5 months.

Little question:

My 140TH brings in about 0.022BTC a day on most pools I have joined. I know how things work on KanoPool in general, BUT in coin terms on a day to day basis, over say a monthly term, what would the difference be with all things even please?

Worse, same  or better?

I'm pushing about 150TH/s and my BTC/day/TH was 0.00021122 for December.  That would be about 0.02957080 per day for 140TH/s.

I'd say better here.  Getting the transaction fees and the lower pool fees makes a difference.

Well it was just a case of tracking back the error message to the miner that was causing it.
Though I wont go into details of the actual code change he did

No - invalid shares mean they aren't valid i.e. no reward
The IP is at the University - which is now completely blocked.

It's listed in the first post - Zach's 'web app' for the pool.
Uses your API to get your stats but also allows you to paste in your rewards page.

It's a great monitoring and notification tool; along with the iPhone (Apple) and Android apps written by others for this pool.

As Kano said, look on the first post of this forum thread and you will see all 3 listed.

does 5nd means i will get full payouts after 5 blocks is found? (if expected 10 blocks per months= cca 2 weeks?)

The 5Nd is based on shares, not blocks.  We could find more than 5 blocks within a 5Nd period, which is a bit over 15 days right now...  So after 15 days of mining you should be fully ramped up.  But indeed if luck holds at 100% then 5Nd=5 blocks found during that time.

thanks. i used to mine on kano pool but i had to leave because electricity bills were killing me in bad months (£0.15/kWh rate)
I think it's time to go back to Kano pool now
