Hey kano,

short question for the management.  Grin

Are you running the pool all alone or is there any backup admin I didn't heard of yet? :-)

Maybe it's obvious but I like to know anyway.
I don't mind if you do all alone. I'm just curious about.

Thanks for making this super cool pool!!  Cool

I really like to get on our acclaim list!  Grin

MINE ON!!

Me, with all my alerts and alarms that wake me up whenever anything drastic happens - if I'm asleep Smiley
All the servers are managed and configured by me, in every aspect - there's more than 20 of them that are only for the pool, and others that have multiple uses.
Last year when I travelled around a bit I also made sure (when possible) that I had wifi on the planes so alerts and alarms would work there also.
Yeah you could say I'm rather attached to the pool Smiley

P.S. Yes I wanna get on the acclaim board also! I've never got on either, though my BDR is still under 0.8 after all this time.

Pool: https://kano.is - low 0.5% fee PPLNS 3 Days - Most reliable Solo with ONLY 0.5% fee   Bitcointalk thread: Forum
Discord support invite at https://kano.is/ Majority developer of the ckpool code - k for kano
The ONLY active original developer of cgminer. Original master git: https://github.com/kanoi/cgminer

I imagine the alarm horn beside your bed.
You standing straight up in bed in the second it starts to alert.  Grin Grin

This is really cool stuff!!
I manage some servers too, mostly for customers, but nothing that epic.  Cheesy

Do you have any other job or are you only attached to this pool!?   Cheesy

Hope you get to acclaim board soon. Best within a few hours and our next block!  Grin Grin

If you can't remember your password, use the password reset.
You have to have a proper email for that to work.

... i found an entry in my password booklet.  Kano was my second stop when I first got the S4, but I wasn't knowledgeable enough to figure out the setup back then.  I had already made an account, as you said, with another password in December.  I can be dense sometimes.

I haven't been to slush pool.  I don't know why, but it sounds sneaky.  LOL.  Historically, people aren't above the table with slush funds!  I landed at BTC.COM and mined with them for a while before I started messing with altcoins.  As far as I can determine, where ASIC miners are concerned, you make pretty much the same USD no matter what you mine, or there is minimal fluxuation.  Once I learned about transaction fees though, and saw the action in the bitcoin market, I realized I needed to get back onto the non-altcoin bandwagon.  Those who are declaring bitcoin dead, are buying bitcoin, is my determination.

Dang, BTC has taken a few hits last few days. I'd buy some, but it just keeps dropping.

That's so disheartening that you never found a block. When you were mining, how many TH/s did you have?

Quick question and apology if it's been discussed hundreds of times but... On the shift graph... What is the red line that goes horizontal across? Mine says 5.80av and has been increasing. I was assuming maybe it's my average hash that has been ramping up but it doesn't line up with what my rewards have been. Last reward was...

Block   Block UTC   Miner Reward   N Diff   N Range   Pool N Avg   Your %   Your N Diff   Your N Avg   Your BTC
504409   16/Jan 00:32   15.23612341   11.158T   443hr 19m 29s   30.03PHs   0.02%   1.711G   4.60THs   0.00233581

But at the time this happened I was not at 4.60av on the chart.

I mined a bit with 1 S9, then left and now back with 3 S9's.

I sincerely hope we find another 100 blocks while I'm ramping up... I know that's extreme but I would rather see the pool continue to find blocks, even if not getting paid 100%.

I believe that is your average over the past 26 days. You are paid on the 5ND so currently it is fewer days therefore a higher average.

it's the average hash of the entire chart, not just the 5nd.

Hi guys, my S9 is hashing real low. Maybe because I'm in Mongolia and my miner is connecting to a server in the US..?

I have the default stratum in my miner. Are the any other stratum I should try..? My internet is fast.

You could try jp.kano.is  - might be faster for you.

Ping each of these to see how they do for you.  Use the fastest one for your 1st pool.  You should use the stratum link as your 2nd pool in case there is a problem with your fastest connection.
