^^ and since at least in the USA the exchanges WILL report your coin to fiat exchange into your bank account, if you have moved say more than a few k$ it is much safer to just report on your taxes.

Read the damn thread about it in Speculation.... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2443327.0Been hiding under a rock since Nov 14 when that crap storm started? Long-term folks here know it for what it will probably turn out to be.

Yep, if you exchanged back to any currency in a bank account/credit card, that will be reported. Fortunately I didn't convert anything until this calendar year...worry about it next year.

This is vomit inducing. What say your hard drive got destroyed and all your passwords/wallets were on there and now you have a total loss?
That happens to me right before April every year, just my luck.. along with all my gold sinking in a boating accident.. sorry, nothing to see here - move along

sorry, no backup... backups are for sissies.

Is there a place on Kano where it says what % of my ramp up is at?

Look at the red line, that will give you a good start.

Workers then shift graph, check the red line against what your real hash power is.

That's why you have a backup. And if you did report it as earnings before and everything crashes, then you report it as a loss later on. Yes, you are out some interest, but the piddly bits that get paid by bank accounts these days are hardly worth fretting over it.

And if anyone who has been with Kano for all of 2017 (or before) would be willing to sign up and upload your miner reward data, I can create a CDT (Coin per Day per Th) for the last year between Kano and Slush. I have the data for slush since they started, but need the data from the mining rewards to get the effective pool hash rate for Kano to compare. I started in late July, so my rewards do not have enough data. Thanks to anyone willing to help out and thank to everyone checking out the site.

I broke my pool account! I was stupid and set the Worker Management Minimum Diff to 156,000,000. Since I did that, the Pool shows my miner as offline for over two hours. So I set the Minimum Diff back to 0, and restarted my miner twice, waiting another hour but it still showed as offline for over three hours now.
So I created a new pool account and pointed my miner to the new account, and it shows as Active and online and is busy working and producing shares.
Is there a way I can fix my old pool account or somehow consolidate pool accounts so I don't lose the shares I worked on so far? Like perhaps use the same BTC payment address?
Any advice is appreciated, and I apologize if this has been asked and answered - I did search for a couple of hours but couldn't find anything.
Just use the new user. Your old user will ramp down as your new user ramps up, so there's no loss.

It won't matter so long as you don't mind utilizing two separate BTC Addresses and as long as you have access to both. If you are using coinbase for example then it won't matter if you use a different BTC address issued by them for your account.

NOOB WARNING:
Just wanting to confirm. Moving over to Kano.
Created an account, that is all good Miner setup: Stratum done User/Worker: so I used my <username>.<funname> passwd: x
Is that all that's required? I guess I thought my worker name would be sans the username, but maybe not as it shows up how I entered it in the workers list.
It's all working it shows up in workers, just wanting to confirm I didn't screw something up?
Thanks in advance,
