This may seem like a dumb question, but is there somewhere I can look on the site that will show we are getting close to a block or we don't know until it's found? The way Kano worded his response about getting to 100%, I feel like maybe I am missing something. Trying to better understand it all. Thank you for shedding light.
On the Kano.is site in the top left next to shares is a %. That is the expected work to find a block, at 100% a block is expected. How far over or under 100% is the diff%.

Yeah but there's a (probably not) fun point to understand about that % History has no effect on future luck. But this actually means something else also: The next block is always 'expected' to be 100% from 'now' not 100% from the last block. A simple example to explain that would be: If I run a pool and then when it gets to 90% Diff, shut down the pool, and start a new pool. Will that new pool be expected to find a block in the first 10% Diff? No, there's a bunch of CDF stats about the likelihood of that, but the expected next block, for the new pool is 100% at the point when it first starts. The reason this makes sense is that: Luck is a measurement of the past - but luck plays no part in what you 'expect' to happen. So when some other pool says "Hey we're close to 100% we should find a block soon" then you know to stay away from that pool if the pool OP doesn't correct that false statement.

Guys, I have a 13.5 Th/s S9. But since I changed settings to sg.kano and shut the window of the balcony a little bit it's now always over 14 Th/s. Temps are 67, 60, 60 and GH/s avg is 14,008.
Is my miner doing too much and killing its longevity or it's completely normal..? I used to keep the balcony window wide open and temps were like 60, 50, 50 or something like that and it always hashed around 13.5 Th/s. Kano.is website is registering my miner's hash rate at around 14 to 15k.
Thanks guys.

Nothing to worry about.. you're fine. Sounds like a good problem to me. I have one S9 that always runs hotter than the others. It never gets below 70C but seems plenty happy. It has a Nidec fan, the rest have Y.L. fans. I think I may change out the fans before summer and see if it helps. Mine on!

Ok I’ve read the payout section on the pools website and I know ramp up has been talked about here these last few pages. I’m still having trouble understanding. How do I know when I’m fully ramped up? Is it after 15 days or is there a percentage or something I can look at under my worker? Also if I’m fully ramped up and I add more workers to increase my hash rate. Will they all be ramped up or does each worker I add need to ramp up on there own?

Each share you submit gets divided across 5Nd - on average, each share should be rewarded 5 times. Take a look at the shift graph under workers when you log in, you can visually see the 5Nd period and how many shares ("Hash Rate") you provided during that time. Currently 5Nd is roughly 13 days 7 hours (Help -> Payouts) so we expect to get 5 blocks over 13 days 7 hours. This is just a statistical estimate, if the pool gets more blocks over 5Nd then your shares get rewarded more, if we have bad luck then each share gets rewarded less.

Each worker ramps individually. Also check the red line in the Shift graph which I believe reflects a close but not exact representation of your ramp. Also on every block solve your reward will show the ramp level at the time of the block.

I must have got in towards the end of the 5Nd period. I’m right at about the j in the pink shaded area. Jan 20th.
