Both the miner and the pool. Your ramp up time would be very quick if you brought 20ph/s, for example.

They say it's just a movie prop but you might be able to get it to work.

Does anyone use any APC surge protection on the miners? Thunderstorm knocked 9 of my miners offline and i'd like to prevent it.

Ok I’ve read the payout section on the pools website and I know ramp up has been talked about here these last few pages. I’m still having trouble understanding. How do I know when I’m fully ramped up? Is it after 15 days or is there a percentage or something I can look at under my worker? Also if I’m fully ramped up and I add more workers to increase my hash rate. Will they all be ramped up or does each worker I add need to ramp up on there own?

Each worker ramps individually.

Also check the red line in the Shift graph which I believe reflects a close but not exact representation of your ramp.

Also on every block solve your reward will show the ramp level at the time of the block.
My red line is flat.   Huh It says .72av at the end.

How long have you been running here and what is your hashrate?

Only started Jan 20th and my hashrate is 7.5Th/s right now.
Yeah the red line is the full graph (currently about the last 24 days) not the 5Nd.

The last 5Nd reward is highlighted on the graph with a light red background, each time we find a block.

If you look at your last reward on the Rewards page, you can tell how far into the 5Nd you were - it will show a calculated hash rate for the full 5Nd.
So e.g. if you were mining 20THs and the reward shows 10THs then you were 50% into the 5Nd when we found that block.

Ok and that is where it says "Your N Avg"  which in my case was only 549.25 GH/s for this last reward.  Even though my hash rate is 7.5 Th/s . I am only
549.25 Gh/s into my ramp up. Right?

I had this very same question in another thread and it was recommended to be using a surge protector for this very reason. I will be looking into them also.

When I had my 220v line put in for my miners, I had them install a whole house surge protector in the panel.  It cost about $300, but it protects everything in the house.

edit: however, it only protects from spikes outside the house, it does not protect against surges that happen inside the house.

U$3,599.00 and olny 11TH/s? With all that talk about difficulty increase, will it ever be profitable?

Wait until Bitmain comes out with their better product it won't be cheaper either.

Wow! Cobramining had quite the increase in terahash....

I've noticed some S7's are starting to fall in price. I wonder if the S9's will fall slowly as well as they are being released or if they are just going to be the "go-to" while everyone dumps their S7's.

I'm really trying to build up my hash rate.

Thoughts?

Nothing happens until something moves.

MINE ON WITH KANO........except DPoS2

Thank you. I will be doing this as the panel gets installed tomorrow. I use Tripplite PDUs but they dont help in this manner.

Got all excited when I saw a pending payout amount in my bitcoin wallet. I thought we had hit a block. Checked the kano.is website and no block, payment was just unconfirmed in the mempool. Sigh, oh well.

MINE ON!

I think i got a kano.is ban for having to many tabs open while messing with the diff settings on my account page.
How long do these "to many access bans" last please?

Thank you,

Well, no S9's for me tonight....   Maybe one more Block can be found before I wake up...   :-)  Then I'll be a bit happier.

This is like a full time purchasing job to buy these.   I don't even know if their claim for being able to wire USD to them was a legit one because I never got to that point.  Was hopeful.

Oh well.

Blockabadoo I see you!

The option was there. I used Btrash though. Easier as I have read numerous reports about them asking for more money after the initial wire was sent to cover their wire fees. With the speed and intensity of their customer service team (NOT) it is almost impossible to get an issue answered and resolved in a reasonable amount of time.

I ordered 10 S9's, paid by USD wire. Added $15 to the wire to cover their fees (should have only added $5), got confirmed as paid yesterday.
