Welp, I failed miserably getting Linux installed to create a full node using bitcoin core since this stupid old BIOS thinks it needs to look for a bootmgr even though I'm booting to an Ubuntu DVD. RIDICULOUS!

Now, I'm out of time and have to leave for the weekend.

Pool hashrate is looking good. I better step up my mine to keep my piece of the pie up. It’s about cut in half from what it use to be per block. I’m waiting to see if miners will keep dropping in price. That and my power bill is approaching levels that would require me to cash in some coin each month to help pay for it. That’s no good.

Too bad you didnt have my luck. My electrical company has only billed 2900 kwh since dec 8th.  I have been at about 7500 kwh per month. one month was at 8400.  They didnt bill me becuase the power company said it was high, so they estimated, sent someone to my door to investigate, i told her off, nosey Biatch!  The power company confirmed with me the readings were accurate, then they sent them to the retailer, then the retailer didnt want to bill it becuase there is no way that I could of used  17000 kwh in 28 days according to their readings.  So now they are going to go back and "pro rate" my usage.  Ironically the  cost per kwh has gone up slowly, where do you think the most of the usage will end up according to their calculation...  gee I wonder..

So yes, Dec 8. til April 8, 4 months all I have been billed is 2900 kwh, when it should total to about 25 000 kwh.   1750 cnd Bux!  Thats going to be a nice bill when I get it.  I'll ask for time to pay. :-)

Ya thats really going to suck when they catch on to what’s happening. Enjoy it while it lasts! My bill is actual every month with ComEd smart meters. I thought for sure I would get a letter from them about my power consumption going way up.

There was a back end pool restart at 12:56 UTC
Everyone will have failed over to their 3rd pool.
The script restarted it immediately, so everyone should be failing back within the next 5 minutes.
Sorry about that unexpected restart.

Hi,

Is it possible to send out an alarm when something like this happens?

Right now i got an Email from nicehash that some of my workers were disconnected. So assuming they re-connected to Kano again, but not all did, so my hasrate dropped again. Thats a bit of a bummer, as i want to measure profit compare for mining at kano.

Thanks.

On average, after 3,511,060,552,899 shares. At our current hash rate, that's 1day 5hr 44min 58sec.

What he means to say is the time always changes based on the pool hashrate and this 2016 blocks-worth of network difficulty, but on average, we expect it will take 100% of the whatever the network difficulty is at the time.

But keep in mind that is an AVERAGE.  We have found multiple blocks in one day, and we have gone several days between blocks.  Over the long term, like 6 months, it averages out, as it does for any pool large enough to find blocks "regularly".

Kano has stated he will kick off any rented miners (NH, Miningrig) - this was due to the malicious hash in October and also https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1002086.0

A short drop in hash of a couple of hours will have very little affect on your payout because of 5Nd...one of the great benefits of this system.

I know Canadians don't worry much about this, but I'm worried the cops are gonna think I got an indoor grow operation going on.  They raided one not far from me a couple years back.  What am I gonna tell swat when they bust in?
