I think I actually caught it on the discord channel, Kano posted about it. Easy to see why you were confused.

Just keep plugging away and you'll get fully ramped up. You N average should keep climbing though, as long as you keep your miners pointed here. The reward will fluctuate with the pool size which has been a bit of a rollercoaster lately.

Rabinovitch is asking this question on behalf of a non english speaking miner.

You thought correct you cannot find a block here if you are ramping down but have no miners connected to the pool. The paid shares for the 5nd ramp down are previously submitted shares.

ahh i didnt see where he quoted someone it looked like, to me at least, that he was asking about himself. but now that you clarify, I feel better lol I mean I am still looking at his post and cannot tell where he says it is on behalf of someone else, but I trust ya lol
...
It's clearly not possible to find a block when you aren't mining, so I guessed he must have been referring to someone else.
So i just checked the numbers on the image to work out the username and (of course) it wasn't him.

gotcha - I cant do that behind the scenes checking as I can only see my numbers, but it makes sense that you can and its all good.

ahh discord, yea I read that occasionally so again that makes sense too!

as for the ramp up (ignore the last reward and my N average as I removed a miner just prior to that reward by a few hours) But I put 5 miners here on Feb 26th and the next block after that was March 7th and for the 2 blocks on the 7th and the 2 blocks on the 8th it was decreasing.

I thought it might have to do with the time before when I was still ramping down - between Feb 14th and Feb 26th - Maybe the time prior is falling off faster than I am adding back in. I believe this is what Kano was explaining to me the other day. So, I get that if that is the case, doesnt mean I like it lol - I mean who doesnt want to be fully ramped up at block find? lol But now I have only 4 miners here until the new ones arrive

Block! by canaan - woo Smiley

The nationwide blackout in my country has continued to this Sunday, it just came back but its expected to go out again at any moment. I will keep my R4 off until this mess stabilizes... People owning large mines should refrain from putting them back online until at least 24 hours without blackouts occurs.

The ramping back up was going faster for the time that 16V and lucky were mining, but it would also increase the ramp down time if you weren't mining on the pool as of then either.

It works both ways.  Right now it's a slow ramp up and down.

yep just wish it was going up not down, even though I have been back online since Feb 26th my N average is still dropping.

That will change when that hole in your graph, which you created, starts clocking its way off the edge.

Yes - I get that as that hole goes away it will go up, but there was also the other side of the hole, I was never fully ramped down so when I started back up I expected the N average to increase but it has steadily decreased. So, in my head be going up not down.

although as I sold a miner that was attached to this pool, it will go down now till the average reached the average of the 4 miners vs the average of the 5 miners.

What happened was as the hash to the left of the hole got smaller and the hash to the right of the hole got wider, your outflow and inflow was basically equal so there was not much change.  When the hash to the left completely dropped out of the picture your average hash at that point dropped drastically.  It should be building back up now as the hole slowly starts to shrink. Of course, that extra dip to the very right will slow that growth down also.

exactly - but up to yesterday mine was still trending down, though today the N average is going up but yes - the very right dropped again but that is because I took a miner offline yesterday due to selling it. The other 4 are still on though so it should climb back up, just to a lower value than the last time I was fully ramped up.

I am limited to how many miners I can operate so to make room for the new ones, I unfortunately have to sell the old ones first. I have T15's coming which I want to add to Kano's pool so I have begun to sell the 5 S9's currently allocated to Kano's pool in anticipation of the T15's which should be arriving within the next 30 days or so.

Because your hash rate is lower than what it was...once that equalizes out (the shares going out are lower than the shares coming in), then your N average will head back up toward your current hash rate.   That's how 5nd works.

it was dropping before my hash rate went down - I did not take a miner offline until Saturday afternoon so for the 5 blocks that were found between Thursday to Saturday, my hash rate was consistent but the rewards were steadily decreasing.

edit, I think it was just because of the hole from Feb where I was offline testing that shithole sigmapool out. even though I was only about half way ramped down, the ramp up wont really start until that hole is out of the equation. So, nothing to do with my current hash rate really. I just have to wait for that period to go away which it should soon as it has been almost 3 weeks. Also, I say this not because I figured that out on my own - it is based on the multiple posts from others that have pointed to that black hole I have lol

Correct, the time that 16V and lucky were on the pool and you were not....pushed your old shares out the door faster than your new current shares are coming in.  Add to the fact that you have less total TH would also factor in.   You'll be up and running soon, and hopefully by then...lucky and 16V come back so that your ramp up gets completed quicker than current rates.

the total hash rate was only dropped 2 days ago. but yea and if I get lucky my T15's will ship early Smiley though I need to sell more miners so I can plug them in lol as it stands right now, I have only one free slot.
