I read where Bitmain as announced the Antminer S17 Pro with no details... That would explain the scam email I got this morning from the email address presale at bitmainstech.com (notice the s in the middle) with the subject "limited non Public Preorder - S17-2".  Watch out folks!  This is a complete scam!

I have seen these type of emails before with a PDF attachment order form complete with Scan QR-Codes claiming the following specs:

Code:
Antminer S17-2 with Power
adapter included
2x BM1397 chip (33.7J/TH)
Hash Rate: 67.4TH +-5%
Power Consumption: 1394w using Bitmain APW7 1800W
Dimensions: 240mm(L) x 187mm(W) x 288mm(H)
Weight: 7.1g
Network Connection: Ethernet

$1299USD with Free DHL Shipping

I havent gotten one yet about the s17 but I have about other ones in the past - I always check their site directly. But good for you to point out for those who are less diligent.

I guess the scammer should learn the lesson about putting free DHL shipping in there... I wonder what the dash two means, second batch? Lol... But then again there is also the "Pro" word. Pure garbage. I almost neglect emails at this point.

Ah yes, the APW7.... Scammer hasn't updated himself with the advent of the S11 and the S15, the days of the wonderful APW7 are over since they now bundle a custom PSU together embedded to the miner.

Can't those scammers even do a proper research? Oh and those dimensions... But hey, its got 2 BM1397 chips! LOL.

That is a pretty pathetic attempt... It could be worse, though, by saying some prince bought a bunch of them and wants to sell them at a great price to further the usage of Bitcoin around the world! Grin

Frankly, I like the current size of the pool, actually. Look at the "real feel" reward difference from when we went from a 30PH pool, to a 200PH pool, and back to a 30PH pool...

Look at the difference in angles!

When I started @ 30PH:

When we were @ 200PH:

And now that we're back @ 30PH:

Full context--no cheating! Wink:

I hope something happens soon, I have a deal this weekend to sell my other s9's and with no availability to get new miners yet from bitmain, I will have only one T15 pointing at the pool so I hope for some blocks before the ramp down for right now since march 10th payout I have made roughly $45 for near 60 th running nonstop (now up to 75 th) $45 is not very much for that long of a period. I know it would have been more had I not been ramping up but I was so I hope blocks hit before I am ramping down is all lol

edit

luckyant has been showing in the stats page with over 100k th but our pool shows around 30k total - It was higher but dropped back down - why would it drop back down if luckyant is still showing on stats page? does he drop after the shift ends and a new starts? I could swear that if I disconnect all mine now, they drop off the stats page immediately.

The stats page isn't the best judge of current hash rate, especially with failovers.   The number at the upper left hand corner is more accurate.

oh I get that - I just know that whatever I do to my miners always tends to show immediately on the stats page, my 80 or so TH is not enough to move the top number though lol

and why are you not on the stats page? you usually right above me.

164% can hardly be considered a dry spell.

It just feels that way when the pool hashrate is lower. I can't remember wasn't the "hardest" block to crack 920% or something?

You can't just compare "time" as the time frame for expected varies on pool hashrate and network difficulty as well.

After all the very lucky blocks we had we are still looking fine
