cant log into mtgox. site looks strange, too. anyone with the same problem?
Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

0.02 bot is ridiculous

SOOOOOOO ridiculous... if this bot, or one of these bots it yours... you are screwing it up for everyone else.

Just ignore it, it's irrelevant.

The lag that they cause isnt.

Someone is bringing Wallstreet styling trading thinking gox can handle it. In the real world, the exchange would have to handle this. Lets see if Gox's update will fix this, or break everything.

But in the real world they don't operate 24/7 and have daily limits. Roll Eyes

Yes, thats exactly the point actually. They are manipulating others' input so they can make more on the spread themselves.

I just logged in to Mt.Gox to check a Dwolla withdraw sent over the weekend. Site looks the same for me in the USA but I have a M added to my account number. My withdraw from the other day is listed as status: error but the funds are already subtracted from my balance. I'm not sure what is going on yet. They normally have it done in a few hours and Dwolla to my bank by the next day. I did hit my monthly limit the other day and had to submit a support ticket to get my Verified Status raised to (Level 1). They were real quick to address the problem and raised my limit to 50K USD a month. I have nothing but good things to say about Mt.Gox for the last year or so. I hope Coinlab handles my business as well as Mt.Gox has.

I would welcome it staying horizontal for awhile - dont think the chances of that are so good however.

Made a nice profit by selling at $265 and buying back at $247.

The run up to $265 breezed through $250 too easily. Someone had to try to manipulate it, whoever that is, thanks for the easy bitcoins!

10k BTC could currently swing the market between $210 and $290. Seems pretty thin to me. If we are not careful, as was mentioned upsteam; someone could play with this market like a rag doll. I hope everyone has taken their travel sickness pills.
