Their initial credit card announcements hints at limiting purchases to fly under the radar of Stripe.

The disgusting part is the spin. This was pointed out almost immediately. A question was asked in the HT announcement thread, jmordica proceeded to ignore it. How long does it take to read one sentence in the TOS that was shoved into your face? Not to mention that it should have been obvious BEFORE they even started this CC nonsense. How does one keep believing they are just making "mistakes"?

Now of course the trolls shall be blamed and CF shall be hacked, right? Smiley

GAW not checking ToS? You should see how surprised I am by this announcement...

https://coinfire.cf/2015/01/09/xpy-purchasing-by-credit-card-disabled-by-stripe-for-tos-violation/

so.many.lolz.

I want to post to r/bitcoin so bad https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2rsxw0/paybase_crypto_purchasing_by_credit_card_disabled/

the best (alleged Stripe employee quote):
"We spent the better part of last night trying to figure out what this website was. We hadn’t heard about it until reports started flooding in regarding it and once we started evaluating what it was they were doing exactly we found it was most certainly in violation of our TOS. Several members of our team were discussing this.

The team behind this (Paycoin) site had the audacity to even attempt to limit transactions so as to not set off our warning systems but after digging in a bit during the day we were able to determine exactly what they were doing. The post stating they would limit transactions (trying to hide what was going on from us) on the forums sealed the deal though."

A friend of mine got banned yesterday for no obvious reason beside mentioning the prime controller inflation in a discussion. He asked me to ask a MOD for him on how to get reinstated and no MOD will reply to me, I think I msg'd Cyberlizard three times...  (Daffy did direct me to a mod, he's the only one who cared to reply but is an admin and doesn't know)

That's just cowardly.

Credit Card Purchasing Temporarily on Hold

Dear Paybase Customer,

As many of you know we released a pilot program that allowed customers to purchase a small amount of Paycoin with credit cards through Paybase.

We would like to thank our users and the community for pointing out that our payment gateway prohibits usage by Money Service Businesses additionally the sales of virtual currencies may be prohibited by their ToS.

We have reached out to our payment processor for further clarification and to insure we are compliant with their guidelines and policies we have placed this program on hold.

Thank you, and we will restore this feature as soon as possible!

This feature has been planned since the start of paybase.

Nobody from GAW looked into this issue prior to offering this service ?  Setback after setback, perhaps further features should be kept on hold until GAW can fully integrate merchant purchasing, something that will actually offer value to the coin holders.  My wallet along with everyone else's is taking a bully beat-down.

It is so funny it is really hard to believe at this point. The closest thing it reminds me of is Lucy from the classic tv show 'I Love Lucy' where her zany schemes always fail miserably in the end. Yet despite everything, at the end of every episode, she is still loved by her audience (the GAW faithful)!

That wacky Homero and his zany ideas!!

I hope daffy comes by and gives us his opinion on why this was just another unintended blunder by the GAW crew.

i'm just a common citizen, but i'd guess this was a concerted scam effort, 100%. They clearly violated the TOS of their payment processor to scam newbs. No shame there, none!
