First post under this new alt. I'm a semi-active user on this site, but I'm going to be posting under this alt for any discussion related to the giant dump of GAW information that got posted yesterday. I am going to start digging into the materials that were released later today.

Is there an easy way to break his work up into chunks and distribute it.  I wouldnt mind doing some analysis too but going over the same area as others would be silly.

I agree it would be good to split up the review and start a master document that contains all of the most relevant information, linked to the source archive(s). Posting in here in random chunks makes it very hard to follow.

So, received a couple of PMs urging me to buy back into XPY.  It seems that the idea now being circulated is that the SEC is going to make investors whole (paying them $20 each for their XPY) by bringing in the "FDIC" because people used cash from credit cards to buy XPY on Paybase (which is now "down for maintenance"), and we all know that the FDIC insures cash deposits..

Seriously?  This whole situation couldn't get any scammier if HJG was a Nigerian prince with a rich relative that just died and left them millions.

Since they are so shorthanded at GAW and all of the remaining employees are busy alternately gathering relevant documents for the SEC or shredding them, I figured I would donate a little something so they could spruce up the Paybase placeholder message. I think it really makes it pop quite nicely.

A quick note on the Rishab/CaptainAmerica denial - even though it's barely relevant anymore in the context of all the other crap that's been exposed.

Somewhere in the leaked e-mails (not sure if that's been archived) were at least three denial e-mails from Rishab, each worded slightly differently. Now that is not something you would normally do as a spontaneous reaction to an article. It looks more like an attempt to craft a PR-ish response.

Also his whining about not being contacted by the reporter - all he really needs to do is e-mail CoinBrief's Dustin from his rishabh@livingstones.in address with DKIM headers and I'm sure Dustin would let us know if the e-mail checks out.

What else... I've been told that GAW had 2FA on their e-mail accounts. That would make it impossible for accounts to be compromised for months without anyone noticing. Even without 2FA it's extremely unlikely. Again, largely irrelevant after the latest leak - who in their right mind would "fake" PR bills and Tesla detailing invoices.

I think you need to out those folks who are furthering this scam.  As you correctly note, neither the SEC nor the FDIC has any ability to repay investors in a non-FDIC insured scam anything, even if they wanted to (which they don't).  So anyone pushing that hoax is part of the scam and deserves to be brought out into the light IMHO.

It wouldn't surprise me if Mr. Garza would try to con the SEC with fake info and sob stories. Or more likely just take off and leave others to deal with it.

BTW those train tickets and taxi voicemails seem to show that Mr. Garza is already in Europe and waiting for some other family members to arrive on the 10th.

I would say that Josh got his PR firm to create the 'false e-mail' story for Rishab, but since he owes them over $15k it's doubtful, but someone did write it for him after those failed examples of his efforts.

Those e-mails have been out for awhile but it's just now that they are admitting to the e-mail hack.  Why did it take so long and why didn't they respond when those messages were first released?  I guess they didn't think anyone would pick them up and run with them.

Yes it was a screenie where the GAWCEO (iirc) account was making various statements, ones that were clearly upsetting the people back home and ones that were painting the company ever more into a corner.

If they did any kind of due diligence - kind of a requirement in this line of business - they would have demanded an advance payment.

A couple more notes from the SEC subpoena. Government talk is hilarious. "Singular includes plural and plural includes singular"  . But they really seem to have done their homework. The document mentions Paycoin, Hashpoints, Hashstakers (with details like staking duration and payout rate), CAF, white paper, ICO, wallet addresses, GAW entities/DBAs, etc etc, so it sounds like a well-prepared fishing expedition.

The scope of documents they are requesting to be produced in 3 weeks looks like a full time job for the remaining GAW staff. And the deadline was February 27th so it kind of explains what happened to the whole "honors" thing.

While i fully agree, i believe in some past ponzi schemes they go to the people that actually made money and reclaim it and then spread it accordingly among all investors (talking from pure recall, may be wrong)

I haven't looked through the whole archive, but it seems like there might have been actual mining to back up the hashlets. It's possible that the non-Zen hashlet solos were legit, and that all hashlets were above board.

People who later fled the company or refused to do anything unethical were involved in this stage of the business. It's still possible this didn't turn into fraud until Paycoin.
