Someone needs to drum badbitcoin out of the crypto world at this point for blatantly supporting scammers.  I gave a nice detailed reply of why hes an idiot in the comment section.  Hes going on like the most brainwashed HTer at this point.

I openly recommend people point out the flaws in his argument so its not just one voice.

This is really important.  Chatting amongst ourselves in this thread about how much of a scam paycoin is doesn't seem to be having any effect right now.   Josh Garza seems to have the upper hand right now in this battle and that makes my fucking blood boil.
The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Well, maybe if commentators here were not so fast at making fun of the hopefuls, and actually point out facts and evidence. As much as I enjoy the memes and gifs posted here, it's not helping stopping the scam in the greater scheme of things.

Someone has to have some tangible piece of evidence, so that at least, some 3 letter agency can get a warrant and storm the place? As much as JG likes playing everyone with hype and lies, as a minimum shouldn't the mirage  of the CAF fund be a punishable offence?

I learned quite a bit over here, but I don't think someone deeply invested "psychologically"  would see the light reading through this post.

It worked for me, it confirmed that some of my suspicions were not that far fetched, but for most of the HT crowd, BTCtalk = devil.

And it will remain so even if Paul stops posting GIFs and opens a church in Texas.

I don't think there is any amount of logic or sense that could "convert" anyone from HT unless that person actually has their own doubts, in which case they can find the relevant information in any number of ways.

And we already tried fluffy kittens. Didn't work.

Hopefully they'll eventually reach the "If the CAF was $100 million and there were only 300K coins in the wild, it would have only taken $6 million to support the $20 price for every non-GAW coin that existed.  What happened to all those supposed millions?" moment.

That's what finally woke me up...

It never ends well when you have a mindset like Josh Garza, but some people get away with it for a significant time period before the shit hits the fan.

We didn't get a C&D, we received an atrociously spelt email that stated a certain company/person was going to launch legal action against posters on our forums for libel and defamatory comments (using the data in their current databases, names, addresses, etc), you guys also got a mention (pretty sure it wasn't a good one).

We decided to lock one thread and start three others (which doesn't really seem to have done much good if I am honest), but we are where we are, we still wont be censoring as our servers and the people who run them are not subject to US law (and our servers aren't on US soil) - this has had the effect that not only our users got pissed off, but also certain company/person now has to check three additional areas of the forums to see what people are saying about them - couple that with the fact we have removed none of the alleged offending posts (as there was no evidence sent over).

Couple of images below from Josh's hangout conversations......

Heres a personal message to that person - Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

Hm ...

$40,000/20 = 2000.

Do you think Mr. Garza has 2000 XPY left?

https://hashtalk.org/topic/32652/thinking-about-buying-xpy-com

XPY = 97 cents thus he needs to dump over 40k XPY not 2k. Yes, he has way over 40k to dump as well. Dumping 40k XPY would make the market crash as well so he would need to do it slowly or dump a lot more.

That was tongue-in-cheek ...

Also, is anyone keeping track of how many coins are left? I'd really like to see an analysis of how many coins are still in GAW's possession.

I don't think that's knowable. It's hard to determine which movements of pre-mine are distributions (to investors, hashpoint conversions, or exchange sales) and which are just moving coins among GAW's wallets.

I don't think they ever claimed that only 300k coins were "in the wild".

12 million pre-mine to "round-1 investors".  ~320K mined during POW, which GAW claimed "they had to mine like anyone else" to pay hashpoint investors.  So call it as many as a million coins in the wild if you want to - that's still just $20 million to buy every coin that wasn't supposed to be locked up in Primes or covered by an agreement with an investor to not sell before a certain date.  Even if there were a million coins in the wild at that time, that should have produced $20 coins for everyone with $80 million left over.

Fact is, round-1 financing was a failure, they raised roughly $4 million, half of which came from a middle east source, and the other half from the pastor of a certain Mega Church that Josh attended.  By the time the $20 buyback was supposed to be available, they had *maybe* 2 million of their financing left for buying coins.  Josh stated that they burned through $500K per minute, and the buyback for $20 lasted for a grand total of about 4 minutes.  They were able to buy back less than 100K coins before the whole thing was exposed for just what it was, a bunch of lies about, well, *everything*.

They said that 40% of the coins were for hashpoint conversions or something like that, which comes out to 4.8 million coins. Not sure where you get the numbers from.

Just going off statements made by Mr. Ganza.  6.5 Million coins in Prime controllers.  Supposedly a round-1 financing round where it took a million dollars just to be invited.  Over-subscribed was what the word was.  At a dollar per coin and what, six investors, two million dollars each, a dollar per coin?, the numbers are already way past the 12 million pre-mine.   So,  two investors at 2 million each. a dollar per coin.

12 million - 6.5 million - 4 million = 1.5 million coins left over to be paid out to hashpoint miners.

OK - fine - $100 million CAF and even 1.5 million coins, or, Christ, call it 3.5 million coins or even your figure of 4.8 million coins  at $20 - do the math.  It's the "$100 million held out of the $335 million financing to be a CAF" that's bullshit.  Well, other than all the other numbers.  All the numbers that Mr. HJG has ever quoted are complete and utter bullshit.

How about 10,000 sign ups in zencloud per day?  There aren't even 7500 active XPY wallet addresses in use.  Where do you suppose all those sign-ups and buyers keep their XPY?  How much XPY do you think is really out there in the wild when the top 100 addresses own like 90% of all the coins that exist?
