I do not believe he is qualified, certified, or watch-list cleared for any kid parties. Likewise, I wouldn't put my kids anywhere near a clown like that.

TheMage... Just don't do it... Don't get involvet into this. There is no rescue on this point. Is your gaining so big to involve in this scam?

I honestly have nothing to gain other then helping people out that might have got hurt with this scam (which is you know, kind of what I do, which is help people).


But from the looks of it im not going to be doing much (I can assume they dont trust me, and I guess within good reason). So everyone can calm their horses, looks like im not going to be helping them.

    If you say you have nothing to gain and just want to help people I belive you. You have your reputation to back this up.

    On the other hand there is a saying: "If you want to help a men teach him how to fish, don't just give him a fish..."
    My point is that everybody with a decent comon sence is out of PayCoin by now and the vast majority left are scamers (90% of them at least) so why would you want to help them?? Let's assume that 10% of them are honnest but trully bad investors and so blinded by Ganza and they still think that things will be ok and you want to help them. And let's assume you succed and they even turn a profit in the end. But if that's the case than they will loose those money for sure in the next scam because they really didn't learn anything from all this... so in the end you really didn't helped them... just the scammers, and even giving them the power participate in further scams or even start new ones.

     I may be right or I may be wrong but this is how I see things.

100% agree.

I read it as someone (themage) sees easy $ pickings and is willing to jump in and get some.

You want to help people in the crypto community, help eradicate these garbage pump and dump coins. They are a distraction to what is important, BTC.

Anyone investing into Paycoin hasn't done their homework. Also, there is a good chance that Josh Garza is mitigating his losses and trying to scoop up coins and limit his customer base, though I am not sure how that saves him from the long arm of the law.

But on a serious note, that idiot (garza) is going to most likely end up with nothing. Wife will take the kids and live a tough life because of his greed.

I suspect those fighting for paycoin have nothing else to fight for, they are all in on that junk. Seriously, they should have just tried coinsdouble.

Bottom line is, instant transaction time isn't a feature of the coin, it needs 3 confirms like any other coins which means about 3 minutes but can go all the way up to an hour.  It's a feature that was supposed to be part of the coin at some point but as a lot of other things this feature has never seen the light of day.

The 3 confirms is not part of the protocol. I can accept after 1 confirm, none, or 6 or 20. Many sites use 6, see http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/1170/why-is-6-the-number-of-confirms-that-is-considered-secure. The six doesn't translate easily to other coins. For instance, Paycoin doesn't use Proof-of-work, so a 51% attack of computing power is irrelevant. You're making a bunch of incorrect assumptions here.

I agree, wasn't saying it was part of the protocol but I agree I could have been more precise.  Didn't want to get into spendable/unconfirmed, it was hard enough to get him to "accept" that Paycoin didn't have instant transaction without burying the explanation under more technicalities.
