i just got a personal jurisdiction decision on suing GAWminers from the 170th district court. since they shipped physical miners to me in texas, they have engaged in at least a small but significant amount of activity that constitutes state requirements for minimum contacts. so all the closet HT people on here who are too afraid to ask, yes they can be sued locally if they meet state requirements for jurisdiction i.e, shipped you a miner or product.

A plethora of small suits against GAW/Garza would be much harder to fight and most likely more effective than a class action lawsuit. If it is all rolled into one CAL, then GAW can hire a crack legal team to fight it and most likely win, whereas small lawsuits all over the country/world would be extremely expensive and time consuming to fight, and many would likely not even be contested because of this. Collecting once a judgement has been issued would probably be difficult though, as GAW would most likely simply refuse to pay.

This is comedy gold... http://imgur.com/a/bSdxl/embed#2http://imgur.com/a/bSdxl/embed#3Josh talking on BCT about going after CEX for "scamming him" I was scammed by him too this month
I want to see this POS come to justice I run a few national companies, as such I have my own legal team. Let me know how I can help
Look, this is the bottom line. In business you should never change a deal you already made. Period.
I have run many companies (50m plus), and I have made many deals I did not like. But I always homered a deal once I made it.
Bolded that typo because sorry, thats fucking hillarious. That should be a new* verb... "I heard all those Paycoin supporters really got Homered by that Homero guy." Homered - Interchangeable term for Paycoined All jokes aside... Anyone else see the blinding irony in these posts? "You should never change a deal you already made" ?? Like the Honor Program? Like the Always Profitable Hashlets? Like the [everything else Josh did]?? "I want to see this POS come to justice" Who knew how many thousands of people would soon be saying the same thing about him only 12 short months later?

With what money? GAW is broke. Garza pulled his hefty salary for as long as he could, and now there's nothing left. They have to sell all of their XPY just to make payroll and pay for basic internet services. Suing GAWminers won't do much. You have to sue the people who have profited from the scam. For that, you have to know who has Prime Controllers, or at least the ones that stake at that insane rate.

Vouchers incoming! (love the misspelled URL) https://blog.paybase.com/hashlet-tol-announcement/Edit: updated link https://blog.paybase.com/hashlet-eol-announcement/Hashlet EOL Announcement On February 17, 2015, the announcement was made that the Hashlet end of life was imminent. That day has come. The Hashlet program will end in 30 days, on Friday, April 10 at midnight. As we indicated in our last announcement, the creation of three options has been developed to ensure terms are met and customers are satisfied. The three options are: There will be a period of time where there will be a conversion opportunity. This will allow Hashlets to be converted to HashStakers with the goal of continued profitability. As is widely known, HashStakers are time based, so notification will be provided on how long the HashStaker program will last before it expires, before the conversion takes place. A HashStaker Marketplace will be created where HashStakers may be bought or sold. GAW Miners is forming a partnership with a new, next generation and cutting edge cloud-mining platform. Should a decision be made to leave a Hashlet in its current form, it will be automatically converted to a voucher, equal to customers’ original purchase price that will be redeemable in the new platform. These options can be taken advantage within the next 30 days. To reiterate Option #3, if Hashlets are left in their current form, they will be converted to a voucher equal to the customers’ original purchase price. Please contact our customer service department should you have any questions at 866.554.5861. To create a customer service ticket, please use the following link: https://gawminers.freshdesk.com/support/home. Thank you.

Yes, I agree that GAW has most likely been bled dry, but I bet Homero would scrounge enough to put up a defense if a major lawsuit were brought against GAW/Garza. No matter what I suspect no one will ever get compensated, because of the "Can't get Blood out of a Stone" axiom. I watched another of the Hashking contest videos and I busted out laughing at this one as well. Hey KoolAid! https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=preE2bUYgQ4#t=73 Oh Yeaah!

Customers' original purchase price is a minefield.
So if you bought a Prime from the market for $70, will they give you a $70 voucher (the customer's original price) or a voucher for the original purchase price?
If it's the original purchase price, how do you know if you have a $15 prime or a $50 prime? There's no difference on the market.

What if the "cutting edge" mining platform is Joe's 45-day project. GAW could be very generous with those vouchers if they never leave GAW's ecosystem. $1 or $100 worth of "cloud", who cares.

So, is this the "big announcement"? Perhaps I am missing something, but I only see two options, not three. 1 Convert into Cashtaker which may be sold in a marketplace or a voucher for some new cloud mining system. That is two. And what about compensation for the time Hashlets have been turned off?

It won't do much against a legal judgement, eventually they'd have to move it back into fiat of some sort. And besides, if you know about it, obviously it isn't "private". At worst, you could file liens on anything they own.

Correct, GAW PR claims about fancy domain purchases and corporate acquisitions were just lies. The company has been bleeding cash for a long time, likely since before hashlets even when they tried to undercut everyone with ASIC pricing. $100 million business this ain't.

ikeboy, you are a complete imbecile and posterchild for the clueless, financially illiterate children who are taken advantage of by scammers like GAW/Garza. To honest people, a corporation is an entity created to produce goods or services for profit. To a fraudster, a corporation is a tool to bilk investors of their money and funnel it into their own private pockets. Once the fraud is complete and the now bankrupt corporation is collapsing it is discarded, along with any liability. That is how the big boy criminals rip people off. Now you know.

There seemed to be a bunch of people in this thread saying that gaw was making a lot of money from dumping, but also a lot of people saying that gaw is broke. There isn't a coherent narrative that ties those two together; if it was a scam (which it clearly is at this point), then it must have made money for someone. To claim that gaw is both smart enough to pull off the scam and then incompetent enough to not make any money from it breaks suspension of disbelief. Something still doesn't add up.
