in order to become wise, one has to get burned.

 Huh

no no no no no.
in order to be wise, one must learn from the mistakes of others.

one does not 'become' wise. one exercises their wisdom from the beginning.

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

There are many people taking out loans on places like btcjam for this scam
The only scam is in your head and you're spamming about it so much that it must be stuck really deep.

So go dump your Bitcoin for paycoin

the frightening thing is.. there are lots of people already doing this. i despair for these kids and their future.

I really hope it's just idiots who wouldn't have the sense to hodl Bitcoin, too greedy and impatient.

So only those who "hodl" are the worthy ones? Bitcoin is worth 30% of what it was a year ago. How's that hodlin workin out for ya?

Doing well thanks, they're nice and safe not with a scammer or a shitcoin

today, 1 bitcoin is worth ~€300.

i'd say that's pretty damn good, in fact.

raskul, I understand, but I don't share that opinion anymore. Life is about making experiences. Learning form other's mistakes is second choice. The trick is to only get a little wound from the burn, enough to serve as a reminder, but not to the point of crippling you.

Honestly I was scammed by bfl, knc and neobee. It did teach me. But they were small amounts and I never touched a shitcoin, I did it to support Bitcoin. More wise would learn from our past. At least I avoided gox, bcst, etc.

These people are recruiting many newbies and even taking out loans to buy paycoin. While believing Amazon and Walmart are on board. If we save a couple newbies then our job is done. The current investors can burn. They already turned their back on Bitcoin. Josh said Bitcoin isn't viable so they're dead to us. This is Bitcointalk.

i've been the opposite. I missed out on a batch 1 jupiter because i was over-cautious and to thisday, still refuse to buy batch 1 of anything.
not that i haven't made mistakes. I guess i'll wait until i lose all life in my body for my B3 Babyjet. i'm not the wisest, but i am quite observant and all I see in this GAW offering, is heartache for those who invest in it.

the main alert with this GAW thing is that while BTC price for some, may seem low ( Huh). GAW are instigating (and playing on people's greed) by selling their 'dreamcoin' for BTC. But no-one sees what's happening really. GAW are taking that BTC and i'll be 99% sure that they are holding onto it for grim life whilst sellling off a lame horse in return. Hell, it's a great scam if you can't see through it.

But it remained for almost 2 months $800, then another month at $600 and now can't even go past $400. Don't want to be the whiner but bitcoin isn't doing well and the shitcoins are booming. There's a new one every week or so, which means people are interested.

Hahaha

I just received an email from bitcoin and gravy about some comment I left a few days ago so went over to see what was said.
I noticed that some of the answers I gave have vanished into thin air.
I know they were posted correctly because I checked a while later.
Maybe it was something I did wrong though but why would they remove the replies.
I haven't posted on many forums like the afore mentioned, in fact this is probably the only forum i have used apart from that one.
I think I will leave well alone in future and just stick to what I know.

Wishful thinking is just sitting on your back side hoping someone will do it for you.
Get up and give it a try, you might just surprise yourself !!!

@Bigred95 you know damn well that certain places control the info released on their site, reddit is prime example of censorship

I think Josh should ignore them, and let them kick themselves in the ass when they realize this train left without them

Care to tell me how much BTC was worth 3 years ago? 4 years? 5?

Please tell me you aren't so stupid that you can't see the fact that despite having bubbles that pop, BTC has been continually rising in value since its inception.

Why should I or anybody else care what happened 3 years ago? Most people never heard of bitcoin back then, before it appeared in the media.
Most people who are now in Bitcoin came after the pump in December. Check the number of addresses made in the last 12 months. If you bought Bitcoin between December 2013 and October 2014 you lost money, period.

the problem with that is that BTC was never WORTH those 800$. It was a massive artificial bubble that mtgox buttraper extraordinaire Mar Karpeles had caused by using trading bots that made the price go up without their being any real demand.

The price we see nowadays is much more realistic, personally, I think it will never go back to those heights again, but stabilize around the value we see now. maybe a plus of 20-25 % over the next couple of years.

i'm mostly in agreement with the majority of this, and as an enthusiast and hobbyist, i'm pretty content with it.
