Well, just sold the XPY I had and deleted the wallet. I think I broke even with the electricity I used to mine.
No need for me to be ~here~ any more
< tosses a gernade > .......... bag out!
Hundred bucks says you and waffle come back. They always do. They SAY they're going to leave, but they come back. Oh, I'll come back ... but not for this ?coin?. I mine coins, I don't buy coins with cash.... if some time in the future another coin interests me ... I'll probably join in the mining and discussion.

blackwavelabs homepage/servers under severe DDOS attacks. certainly just coincidence....
Now that's funny. So is genesis-mining and apparently nexus miner. Someone posted here a short while ago blaming those two on GAW. There was that whole coinfire incident a short while back as well. Obviously not enough to really blame anything on GAW but the coincidence is somewhat concerning. If there is anything more to go off on who this could possibly be, I would certainly like to know. As someone said in that other thread, it's doubtful GAW would have the technical know-how for that kind of thing. It would be more likely to be done by some of those militant "investors" who think critics are stealing their retirement money. Also the mining companies can be attacked by any opportunist for extortion, but blackwavelabs doesn't seem like a potential extortion target.

Also the mining companies can be attacked by any opportunist for extortion, but blackwavelabs doesn't seem looks like a potential extortion target. That is a valid point. Namely its the coincidence between coinfire and blackwavelabs. I know this has been beaten to death but the fanatical approach and complete absence of any sort of logic over there at ht breeds this sort of action. Obviously this is complete out of my ass speculation, but this kind of stuff absolutely does not bode well for GAW. If anything it makes the accusations from blackwavelabs appear all the more sound. If you can't argue with reason what are you going to do.... shout down the other party. That very well might be the case here. Of course, again, this is complete speculation.

I've seen a lot of points in many altcoins about how they are innovative because they are so much faster than btc. This must be people who never actually bought something from a real store with btc. I can buy groceries in my local supermarket with btc and they seems to use bitpay tech. The transfer is instant in 1-3 sec. So even if I am a altcoin supporter, I know that no altcoin can market itself to wider audience because of speed. There has to be much more.

That's how incredibly innovative this product is! https://paybase.com/(scroll down to comments at the bottom) Wow, that is amazingly FAST! Paybase transactions occur a week before Paybase is (supposedly) coming online! Look out Homero!! At what point do the mesmerized finally snap out of it? Do they really have to be smacked in the face with a fish? Edit to add: Apparently nobody told the advertising blatant liars department about the delay in the Paybase rollout so they went ahead and pasted in the pre-made "testimonials" about how great Paybase is. Completely Effing amazing. How many fools still believe the BS from these liars? It is right in your face for god's sake!

I think on small amounts they can take the transaction as soon as it's broadcasted, the risk is negligible. Not sure how it would work on a $1000+ purchase in a physical store. For online stores in doesn't matter much, they'll get enough confirmations before shipping.

Gathering information before posting or buying is just not a common approach among the majority of bitcointalk users. Same reason why a lot of people still think that "creating" XPY took more than ten minutes and that "HashStakers" are real, physical devices.
Sorry if I missed the sarcasm tags and haven't read all 5,527 pages of the thread but someone didn't really post that they thought HashStakers were actual physical devices, did they?

WTF? How did you possibly lose money? If I tried to lose money at Paycoin/Hashlets during the last month, I don't think I could have. You must have special skillz.
You could have bought at 0.045 two days ago during GAW's call to arms, and now where would you be? You're a disgrace to the 13th man.

Sorry if I missed the sarcasm tags and haven't read all 5,527 pages of the thread but someone didn't really post that they thought HashStakers were actual physical devices, did they? Perhaps not in this thread, but what would a person new to mining think about this: "The future of cryptocurrency is in the cloud. Datacenters cut power costs in half and maximize uptime. They even keep, noisy and sensitive equipment safely outside your home. HashStaker is the world's first Cloud Staking Wallet, perfectly optimized to thrive in large, controlled datacenters and achieve massive economies of scale to offer unparralled availability. All HashStakers are hosted in the most robust cloud mining and cloud hosting data centers in the world with 99.99% uptime guaranteed." There's more where that came from: http://www.gawminers.com/pages/hashstaker
